Rozner also thought Quade was a good hire. He wrote fabulous articles about how he deserved a shot after paying his dues.

Personally,he should have been fired when the Cubs were up 3-1 against the Marlins. He told everybody there was no way the Cubs blow this. I knew better. I actually know his boss but never asked anything about Rozzy.

I am glad someone else remembered that. It is typical Rozner, to be overconfident when things seem assured telling you how there's no way they blow it. I wouldn't have fired him for it, but it goes to show how talking heads are no smarter than the rest of us.

I love that this thread keeps popping up in the active topic list. It makes me smile so.

Yeah, I'm tired of constant "the Cubs TOLD you what they were doing, blah, blah, blah." Yes, I know they have tanked the last several seasons.

And neither Rozner nor Drinky quoted Epstein correctly...Epstein didn't say he "hoped the Cubs would not be sellers next year." He said he "hoped they would not be obvious sellers next year." Big difference.
