That's the kind of nucleus that can be turned into a contender in short order.

Add a starting pitcher (Rodon) and a couple bullpen arms and your golden

Leury Garcia will be the closer by then.

No, but you'll still be jealous of the last place Cubs' minor league system.

You post about the Cubs more than the White Sox, I think.

You're just like the media...

I'm posting about Sox fans in a Sox thread Cub fans can't manage to stay out of.

That post I quoted is about the Cubs.

This thread was made to mock (a very small percentage of) Cub fans

So now you're gonna be purposely obtuse and dishonest?

Seriously, you're gonna go full on TROLL now? I just want to know so I wont waste my time with actual baseball thoughts

Not really. It was a response to Rick. You're bringing the Cubness to a thread celebrating the White Sox future.

Doesnt matter.

This thread was a mockery of the Cubs. No matter what you want to say, that's the truth.

Not sure why you dont just admit it. I post about the Sox too. No big deal.

You can take it anyway you want to take it. Is getting excited about prospects for Cub fans only? I want dolphin and Rick to realize just how great Micker is!

Very common resume mistake that Theo never seems to correct. He went to University of San Diego law school.

I don't know how you do that.

I assume the only area in which he has experience is contracts/negotiations. I'd feel comfortable against him even in these areas, unless Ryan Dempster was on a third party line helping him out.

  Theo lets people think he is a Harvard Law grad. He is like Jen Patterson. She attended Columbia.

He did go to Harvard undergrad. I had posted about it a while back. I believe his father is an east coast boarding school department head with a pipeline into the Ivies. Take that for whatever it's worth. I don't think Theo is dumb.

The myth of Theo is that he is some numbers savant with an impeccable educational pedigree who's talent was apparent from birth. The truth is that he is good at organizational management and gets reports from underlings working on the more hard science aspects of his job. That is not a denigration of the guy. Organizational management is incredibly important

Epstein went to Yale and graduated with a degree in American Studies (???). Got his Juris Doctor degree while working for the Padres.

Rick Hahn crushed it at New Trier, Michigan, Harvard Law, and Kellogg at NW.

Do you remember that story about how he made a bunch of Cubs employees learn to sing the Yale alma mater because it showed that they could be part of something bigger than themselves or something? Somehow this slipped through the cracks, but I think it makes Trestman's leadership dynamics summer camp bullshit look normal.

Really? Because I think Theo attended Brookline High. It's a pretty good school, but it's not like he went to Andover, Exeter, Deerfield Academy, or The Choate School.

don't make me research this stuff. It reeks of caring, especially against a guy that I think is basically likeable, talented and down to earth. He can't help it that he worked for two teams with the douchiest fan bases in all of sports

I think he naturally gravitated toward them. I'm sure he's already thrown back O Bombs with Wayne Stylie.
