WSEX must not have been that much money for Hub.

Florio reported that Hub's publication was millions in debt when they folded. Hub was pissed at Florio and the report and denied it.

The 2 issues are not related.

You need a converter box to make sense of Beardown's posts. It's kind of like ON-TV.

I don't get what doesn't make sense?

I know you were talking about something different. I simply made a flip comment saying that the ad money from WSEX wasn't that much if Hub's PFW was 8 million in debt. That's all.

:D like Sini posts. Biggie should've allowed the minisini mult to hang around. He provided a service.

Fuck Larz then. BigFan is twice the man as he is, both figuratively and literally.

Tryouts to sit next to Matt Spiegel on The Score's 9-1 show continue in earnest this week. NBC 5's Peggy Kusinski will be hosting with Spiegs today, Tuesday, and Thursday. Laurence Holmes on Wednesday and Friday.

Not saying the show won't be good, because it very well could be, but Kusinski is an interesting choice (albeit three days), and may signal Mac is less likely to return to 670. This is now the fourth straight week with a different "test show." Thought one of the first three that have hosted with Spiegs would return first. I know it's mid-summer and sports radio picks up steam in about a month, but we'll see. Mark Grote, Matt Abbatacola, Barry Rozner, and now Kusinski have entered (with Jason Goff a wild card option) ... who will get the gig if Mac leaves?

There is a lot wrong with your post. None of this "points to Mac not returning." It only means he is not on the air. Nothing more, nothing less. Also, these are not "test" shows or "tryouts." These are hosts filing in. Nothing more, nothing less. Too many people are freaking out over something that has become semi-regular in Mac's career. Lastly, Peggy Kusinski has a great deal of radio experience and is an excellent choice. She spent many years on The Loop with Kevin Matthews. If she can handle Kev (and Jim Shorts), she can handle anybody. I would go so far as to say she is even better on the radio, where she can loosen up and show her true personality, than she is on TV.

Hang tough, RadioNerd.

The hell these aren't "Tryouts", Larz.

That's exactly what they are. Does it mean Mac won't return? No. Of course not. But these are tryouts.

I'll give the current odds if Mac doesn't return.

Rozner: 2-1

Grote: 5-1

Peggy: 500-1

Goff: 1000-1

Drinky: 1000-1

I think we should all go over to the Larz board and start a mini war, like we did with the Biker Board.

No need for that. That board doesn't have me. So they have lost already.

The "Peggy" hosting tells you that it's absolutely tryout season. Cuz she's not on the Score's payroll. So if it's just people filling in, as Larz says, then they'd continue rotating current Score employees.

Larz kisses every ass in management he can find. He's like the Dan Bernstein of Chicago radio coverage. At least Feder has helped run people out of town.

She handled Kevin Mathews and Jim Shorts, so she can handle anything! lol

Except some nasty texts I guess.

I like how he mentions Jim Shorts like he is referring to an actual person.

So is Peggy friends with Mitch because of their Loop connections? Is that why she's getting this "Token tryout"?
