Tryouts to sit next to Matt Spiegel on The Score's 9-1 show continue in earnest this week. NBC 5's Peggy Kusinski will be hosting with Spiegs today, Tuesday, and Thursday. Laurence Holmes on Wednesday and Friday.
Not saying the show won't be good, because it very well could be, but Kusinski is an interesting choice (albeit three days), and may signal Mac is less likely to return to 670. This is now the fourth straight week with a different "test show." Thought one of the first three that have hosted with Spiegs would return first. I know it's mid-summer and sports radio picks up steam in about a month, but we'll see. Mark Grote, Matt Abbatacola, Barry Rozner, and now Kusinski have entered (with Jason Goff a wild card option) ... who will get the gig if Mac leaves?

There is a lot wrong with your post. None of this "points to Mac not returning." It only means he is not on the air. Nothing more, nothing less. Also, these are not "test" shows or "tryouts." These are hosts filing in. Nothing more, nothing less. Too many people are freaking out over something that has become semi-regular in Mac's career. Lastly, Peggy Kusinski has a great deal of radio experience and is an excellent choice. She spent many years on The Loop with Kevin Matthews. If she can handle Kev (and Jim Shorts), she can handle anybody. I would go so far as to say she is even better on the radio, where she can loosen up and show her true personality, than she is on TV.

You don't have to break down Kusinski's resumé to me. That's not with the post was about. But OK.
Hang tough, RadioNerd.
