but again, none of the cult of Theo will stick to the argument because they know how it will end

They know of the dim track record of the last five years on guys that mattered yet they will still continue to believe that they will be just fine when Theo has to sign a front line starter.

This is like watching Rick Ankiel

you are melting hard

keep avoiding RPBrick

Keep making factually incorrect statements and then running away

And keep acting like you werent wrong about Samardzija, Garza, the Rangers, and pretty much everything you've written today

BTW, I wanna save this for later but you are saying the guys that were used in trades "didnt matter"

Just gonna leave that here for a while.

Just like the Old Navy preacher, you repeat untruths loudly and equate eye avoidance with agreement.

You know the truth of the argument and would be addressing it directly if you had ANY hope of looking good. I'll give you credit. I thought you would still be hanging your hat on the quality of John Lackey.

 This is like a team scoring 10 runs while one guy goes 0-4. Kirkwood may be having a worse day on here than good dolphin.

The intention was to get some Sox discussion going. Similar to how the subdivision incessantly whines about the media focus on the Cubs the majority of CSFMB's baseball discussion focuses on the Cubs.

I believe this thread perfectly encapsulates that in Chicago there are only two groups of baseball fans:
1. Cubs fans
2. Anti-Cubs fans.

No it wasn't. Read your first post again.

Every word of my post is true. That you call any of it a lie means you are being dishonest.

There isnt even anything in that post that could possibly be untrue.

You've made several mistakes today and refused to acknowledge them.

John Lackey helped win a World Series last year

Youve spent three years telling everyone who will listen that the Cubs are tanking, but now you want to pretend the free agent signings were meant to aid the MLB team. So which is it?

Which free agents are you talking about?

Edwin Jackson was bad

Feldman, Maholm, and Hammel were good

Theo has had some huge hits and misses in Free agency in his career. On the Cubs he's been pretty good so far.

Just read it. Pretty clear cut. Wanted to hear Anti-Cubs fans opinions on Hahn's efforts so far. Anti-Cubs fans could've submitted their opinion of his job and the team's direction but the obsession is way too strong.

There was nothing constructive about your critique though. You didn't want discussion.

You are finally getting close. Your therapy is working.

How has he done in the last five years with guys he targeted as impact players?

How long is it going to be til you admit you were wrong about the Rangers, The Garza trade, Samardzija and Rizzo?

Maybe you could find some therapy.

And to answer your loaded question, when rebuilding and purposely losing (as you've pointed out roughly 800 times) guys who are signed with the idea of a trade are incredibly impactful. So he's been good in that respect.

And why are you using 5 years? Dont want to include those pesky World Series winning rosters that included many free agents signed by Epstein?

This is a sad day. This is the day we'll remember as dolphin losing his ability to honestly discuss baseball. RIP

Over five years is ancient history in baseball. It's not pesky. He won a world series...a long time ago. Boston was ok with letting him go in large part to his work in FA. It's a fair criticism.

Right, like I told Frank if you discount the good ones (Hammel, Maholm, Feldman) than he hasnt been real good

But only a person with tremendous bias would disqualify the winners.

Have you decided yet about Samardzija? Were you wrong about him being a #4 on any other team or is Theo so good he got a huge haul for a #4?

I divide my time between Eastern and Western Mass these days.

Very few Red Sox fans are sorry to see Theo gone.

Personally, I like many aspects of Theo's approach and believe his plan is superior to Hahn's, simply because the White Sox rarely seem to have a plan.

That is all.

Continue with the jousting.

What is he on the A's?

Theo did get a haul. It's been reported that other teams were balking at his top prospect demands.

Is it a coincidence that Kirkwood changes the thread title when Hahn's vision starts to show once again?

Kirkwood is having a slump.

Nope, changed it for your satisfaction. He's still clueless and the Sox are destined for the dumpster.

He is 3 games away from a monumental turnaround.

Now Kirkwood changes it back when called out on it?

Damn. This is tough to watch.

Don't change anything for me. You will be judged on your actions.

However, I'd advise you to abandon ship from this thread.

The thread will be proven correct when the White Sox continue to bumble along for the next 5 year without direction.

The thread has quite the collection of embarassing thoughts by the subdivision and shouldn't be forgotten.

Do you realize that the Sox have more direction than they ever have over the past 3-5 seasons?

Time to back away from this one here, champ.

Funny, 16 pages and it's yet to be laid out. Plenty of Cubs discussion though!

So you don't think the Sox will be competitive the next 5 years?

I think it will be pretty close between both. It ultimately comes down to who spends the money first.

The Cubs and Sox both will make the playoffs in the next 5 years.
