Tell the pitcher he had a play at 3rd when you are in the dugout. Phillips does a lot of good shit off the field but he is still a douche on it. You don't need to show up your own damn teammate when he is struggling his balls off already.

Agreed. I love Phillips but he is a dickhead.

Just saw that he's hitting over .400 this month. Limited sample size but at least he seems to be coming around a bit while Bonifacio is hurt. Could be worse.

Good.. trade him then. Something just pisses me off about this guy. He just carries himself as if he is something special when if fact he is terrible. Maybe he is a great guy and a teammate but his body language says entitled prick.

He's hit .400 to bring his average up to .214. He hit .208 last year. He would have to be Brooks Robinson/Ozzie Smith defensively to make up for his offense.

Villenueva is fucking awful this year. A 6.42 ERA says DFA. He has pretty much been terrible the entire season in every role. Let Wada stay up and get the hell rid of him.

He may be the worst pitcher in all of baseball this year with the exception of the rule 5 low a ball kid on the brewers who has no business in AA right now.

Hamilton has 5 triples playing in the smallest park in baseball. If he played in Coors he could hit 20 triples a year.

89 SO in 247 AB

36% SO rate.

Give him 600 AB and watch him break records.

If I'm Wada, I ask to be sent back down. No one should want to participate in the rest of this 2014 shit show.

I've seen players coach 1b before. In fact I saw Adam Greenberg coach first when he was with the Angels affiliate.

Please. His floor is Adam Eaton in that category.

I am all in on the rebuild but this may be the worst MLB roster ever assembled. Especially the OF. The worst ever. Light em up.

I understand 2014 is for naught and this loss shouldn't bother me but it does. I feel like I want to go all jimmypasta. This, normally, should be the type of game that happens and when it does you demand some serious changes. Unacceptable. How can you not hold this lead? You ask Wada to come up from AAA and pitch, and just like Beeler, he pitches a hell of a game, and gives you a huge opportunity to win. And the team shits down their pant leg. Complacency in not scoring anymore runs...complacency by the bullpen to not shut them down...the Cubs turned off after the third inning.

Lake should not be starting any longer, let alone leading off. He doesn't do anything to help this roster. He had brutal at-bats, he is a sub par defender at any of the outfield positions, and he doesn't use his speed. Olt, thank you for your home run and thank you for taking a walk, but your service is no longer needed on the big league club. Please enjoy Iowa as Ian Stewart and Josh Vitters have done before you. Bryant / Baez...please man the hot corner. You may decide among yourselves who that is. Barney...excellent start to July. Thank you for helping us trade you. Villanueva...I stuck by you a bit last season. That was last season, and an obvious mistake. His bullpen appearances haven't been all terrible (he has under a 4.00 ERA in the bullpen), but, we all know ERA for a reliever doesn't tell the entire story. He has had too many stinker outings in close games. Someone else can do this job.

Villanueva is a white flag. His presence indicates Renteria is trying to throw the game.

IMU I agree. Pile of shit. Barney better enjoy his last weeks on a MLB roster. The rest of them sans Castro and Rizzo bye bye. Other than those two as roster spots going forward as far as position players are concerned it is open season. Pitching who knows. Going to be a long process.

Rizzo!!!! #20!!! Get this man to the all star game already. I had no idea he was only 1 off the NL HR lead.

I see Alcantara struck out twice, did he field any balls? Were the strikeouts pretty bad or did he get
any wood on the ball during his 4 AB's?
