He also called their road trip the Bataan Death March. Stoney's stealing sinicalypse's bit!

EDIT: ugh, Stone is using "i.e." when he means "e.g." and I hate that!

So it seems that Steve Stone was even more optimistic than all of us Sox fans here. Good for him.

It only feels like that to them because they landed in Toronto about 7am yesterday, and didn't get to their hotel until about 9am.

Of course, that likely would not have been the case had idiot Ventura left Putnam in the game to face Davis on Wednesday instead of playing the matchups and turning a 4-0 shutout into a 5-4 loss with a lengthy rain delay. I say serves them all right.

.500 would have been monumental since they seemingly still suck.

Let me explain this to you franklin.

If Stone claims he thought .500 would have been monumental, that leads one to beleive that Stone felt the Sox would be about 5-15 games under .500, that is not an optimistic view. An Optimistic view would be a best case scenario.

Anytime you need such help please don't hesitate to call me.

If you would like to consider BENGHAZIED as meaning, you say things without any supporting information or don't say exact words in order to often ask 'When did I say this?"

Yup.

Now, at the same time Stone was actually really good as a baseball analyst after he left the Cubs and actually watched every game and could comment on them and at that point, it was the high point of his Cubs hate, so you can't come back and tell me it's the reason I didnt like him them.

Maybe next year during the spring he will actually get out of his car to and watch players before he bases their career projections on one at bat.

Of course, I do need to allow him a little slack due to the anchor he works with.

Saw the highlight of Abreu's 2nd HR last night ...

Hawk "and he caught it....Gosh darn it...."
Stone "No, it's gone"
Hawk 'It's gone"

That was one for the Broadcast hall of Fame.

Because announcers never miss a call on something that happens 400' from them. Just admit you were watching the game.

And that isn't even missing a call. The OF timed his jump perfectly, and it looked like he caught it. I didn't know for sure until I saw his frustrated reaction. I would imagine that this scenario has happened to every broadcast team ever.

Just a terrible criticism from bigfan. Surely, he troll better than that. #Benghazi

The open glove with no ball in it gave me a clue.

Also, unless the CF is really a guy who loves fucking with people, 99% of OF's at any level would lift the glove up showing the ball! showing he just made a great catch.

And that Steve Stone must be brilliant because he figured it out.

Let me add that they just played Farmers call of the Abreu HR on the Sunday morning show and there was zero hesitation about it being a HR from Farmer.

So I guess he figured it out too.

The outfielder's glove went over the wall, as he tried to catch the ball. You didn't see the netting of his glove. You were watching imaginary television, while apparently listening to the radio broadcast simultaneously. I'm sure Uncle Jerry appreciates your dedication. #Benghazi

Which is all Sox, all the time. I think bigfan watches/listens to more White Sox baseball than I do.

I'm just going to chalk this up to you having a few cocktails in the heat, while watching the burrito parade.

It's been a long road to get back to striking distance but we are doing it!
