It's still early but the Bears season is Ovah!

Time to pick out another NFL team to back for the rest of the year. I'm kinda partial to the NFC and I'm thinking Seahawks. Or maybe the former Bear rival Tampa Bay Bucs....that's a good excuse for a trip to FLA.

Screw this. Even if the Bears are wretched, they're my Bears. Monogamy in sports is the only way to go.

Terrence and Phillip - gosh, that's an appropriate avatar for the way the Bears' offense plays.

I'm on the 'Bears are done' bandwagon as well. Even if they managed to turn it around enough to get into the playoffs, which isn't looking likely, I just don't see them finding the Offense to make any noise. Add injuries which are happening with regularity, and it's looking like the safe money is on them being done.

Oh, and the Patriots will win the SB barring major injuries (Brady). For every bit I was right about Grossman, I was equally wrong about Moss. Turns out he is just that big of a dog. Dallas is probably king in the NFC, but I think that both the Colts and the Patriots and very likely the Steelers are better; I think that GB could easily beat them in a playoff game as well, so be careful what you hope for.

The point is to support a team that has a better chance of making the playoffs than the Bears do, right? In that case, I'm going with the Atlanta Falcons!

Take the Boys out and you are right. The Cowboys beat a shitty Giants team by 10 at home, the same team GB beat by 22 on the road, they beat a Dolphins team that sucks and is 0-3, and a Bears team that gave the maybe the worst offensive performance of the season by any team so far, and had 4 defensive starters injured. The Packers are better than the Cowboys right now, their defense still sucks, the bears just made em look good. They allowed 35 to the Giants and 20 to the Dolphins.

Hold on just a minute, my friend. Anybody who knows anything at all about football realizes the legendary New York Football Giants dominated their game against the Packers. I'm not going to go into hiding over a few bad breaks which influenced the outcome.

Much as I did with the glorious New York Yankees, I welcome all of you upon the Big Blue Super Bowl Bandwagon.

Take away those three big plays by the Packers, and we would've won the game--Dave Wannstedt, circa 1994

Yes, and the supermodel of your choice.

Watch your step over the Super Bowl hardware, though. They tend to get in the way.

Hey, if you think the Bears still can't win the division you are dumb. Super Bowl? Very doubtful at this point. Super Bowl Champions? Even more doubtfull.

Guys, the Packers aren't a dominant team. Nice defense and Favre is still good. BUT THEY CAN'T RUN THE BALL WORTH SHIT. That's kind of important. They are gonna lose some games because of that. Favre will have 1 or 2 four interception games that will cost them wins as well.

I guess in the end the most important thing is the Super Bowl. But I still invest Sundays and alot of time to the Bears. I'd like to see them win the division. My expectations are still NFC North champions. If they win a playoff game that would be great.

Now, I need to see if these injuries to Harris, Vasher, and Briggs are serious. If they are my opinion would change.

They need to run the ball better for sure, but screen passes are supplanting the run pretty nicely. I was looking at the schedule though, and despite their flaws, I dont see them losing more than 4 games. Heres the rest of their games.

@ Minnesota W
Chicago L
Washington W
@Denver W
@Kansas City W
Minnesota W
Carolina W
@Detroit L
@Dallas L
Oakland W
@St. Louis W
@Chicago W
Detroit W

OK so my predictions for the outcome are after the team name. I see a 13-3 team here, but I am not drinking the GB Kool-Aid completely, and much like the Bears in 2001, it will be a deceiving 13-3 for sure. The only good team left on the schedule is Dallas though.

Denver, Washington and Carolina are all Jeckel and Hyde type teams that have the talent to play with and beat top level teams...I'm assuming at least 1 of those teams will beat the Pack, probably two (Denver and Carolina). Of course that would still leave you with an 11-5 record and a likely NFC North championship.

No way we lose to Denver or Washington. You are right about Carolina but Denver sucks. They should be 0-3. They wont make the playoffs. Washington beat the Dolphins who suck, a Philly team playing horribly but who still had a chance to tie at the end of the game, and lost to the Giants who suck. They for sure will not beat us. I can see us losing to the Panthers, but I doubt it. I can also see us winning against the Bears and Lions twice, but I predict we will lose 1 of each.

It's just a prediction...The Packers & Dolphins both sucked last year and the Bears lost to both teams

Yeah I guess I obviously overstated it saying no way, I just meant those teams playing at their 100% best are not better than the Packers. The only teams playing their absolute best that are better than the Packers left on the schedule are the Bears and Cowboys. The Bears however will never play their 100% best it doesnt look like, and if we can get the Cowboys at home in the playoffs, which I know is total speculation and definitely getting ahead of myself, but if we can get them at home I think we can beat them. But like I said before, just like the Bears in 2001, alot of it will be because of schedule. I can see the running game killing them in January before the SB though.
