OX Sports' Jon Morosi reports that the White Sox are "willing to move Gordon Beckham in the right deal now."
The Blue Jays have been connected to Beckham in the past and are looking for a second baseman, so they would make sense as a potential match. Beckham is batting .248/.302/.395 with seven homers and 24 RBI over 66 games this season. He's making $4.175 million this year and will be arbitration-eligible for a final time this winter. Jul. 7 - 7:46 pm et

Man Viciedo pissed on that ball. Don't stop scoring now Boys. Can't have enough runs with Scott Carroll on the bump.

Most improbable back to back shutouts ever. The bad part is it insures those turds at least a couple starts. Oh well. It's always nice to beat Boston.

Hahn can always go out and get a guy. I'm not saying he has to make a blockbuster but he should be able to find someone who can provide more consistent innings and give the team a chance to win a ballgame when he takes the mound. Noesi should be a setup man and Carroll should be in Triple A. It's ridiculous these clowns have made as many starts as they have.

It is. Paulino not being backed with additional veteran possibilities was the real glaring misstep of the off season.

Good lord I didn't think that inning would ever end. Lucky to still be a tie game. Hopefully the Red Sox can give them a few more runs because it doesn't look like they're going to score any on their own.

Is Daniel Webb still on this team? He hasn't pitched sine July 1 and since June 15 he's only pitched 4 times. Petricka has pitched a thousand times since then. I understand Webb hasn't been all that good this year but you can't hide him down there forever. Throw him or send him down and get someone up here who can take some pressure off the rest of the bullpen.

White Sox are rolling. They'll be over .500 by next week.

A couple of real good wins and they come back with Sale tomorrow. It's always nice to beat Boston.

The Sox have kept their opponent of the scoreboard 26 of the last 27 innings they have played. I don't care who they are playing, that is pretty damn impressive.

Real glad to see Boston sucking.

It's a shame Sale, Eaton, and Abreu all missed so much time and Garcia went down for the year. I still hope they add some pitching before the deadline and don't sell. I think they can make things interesting for the rest of the season.

He just couldn't let Sale get that last out. So fucking stupid. Were five more pitches going to make his arm fall off?

Agreed. Let Sale try and get thru the 8th on his own. Its not like he was giving up rockets. I said to my wife when Petricka came in that the Red Sox were gonna get at least 1 run.

Sale definitely gave up 2 or 3 balls that were pretty damn close to gone. I woulda kept him in too but I'm not gonna kill Ventura for that.

JORR, werent you complaining not too long ago about Ventura leaving Sale in a game?

If he takes him out you complain. If he leaves him in you complain.

Here's my beef with it. They don't have anyone in the pen as capable of getting that out as Sale is. He's at 107. Okay, he's getting up there. But it's one more guy. What? Five or six pitches tops. And then he's only going to pitch an inning, maybe, over the next nine days.

No. When you can see he's all done and every ball is like a rocket off the bat, I want him out. When he's cruising along and he's worked around an era with shitty ground balls on the infield, I want him in. Get it?

You also have a semi comfortable lead and Petricka has been throwing well lately. Look, we both started Fire Ventura threads. We're in the same boat here. I just don't think there would be a reason for Robin to not feel good about it.
