Yeah. Obviously. Or hope we trade for one or sign one in FA when he's done. Everybody hopes good prospects come along.

I understand. But many of the same assumptions Cubs make that get roasted for are being used.

How many parts of the Cubs future have had productive at bats in the playoffs and World Series?

He's played 103 games pittmike. Never a full season. Cups of coffee here and there. Thanks for your input.

I don't do the roasting. My biggest complaint with Theo has always been it never should be taking this long and he can't blame Ricketts because he seems to be really enthusiastic about this plan. I think you guys should be excited about guys like Kris Bryant. It just gets silly when it turns to "we know as much about Bryant as we do about Abreu"

I'm confident one could squirt out a .261 playoff average in 2016.

What team are they going to be traded to to make the playoffs?

I'm confident that Garcia will be son above average outfielder.

I'd be in that camp as well. I am not as optimistic about Eaton. He Ron mercer on the Bulls.

No you're crazy. He's like the Barry Larkin of center fielders or something.

I'm so scared. He really put his stamp on the league during his last tenure there. On the bright side, there's a punchers chance Anthony Bennett is better than Kwame Brown. Which is nice.

I just hope he can become David DeJesus.

Just asking the same questions. Classify that however you want. But the answers are pretty much the same as Cubs fans give. Classify that however you want as well.

What answers exactly do you want? Isn't it clear by the moves and the players on the field what the vision is? Get younger, better players-- preferably who are cost controlled while continuing to stock the minor league system with talent (Rodon, Davidson, etc). With Dunn & Konerko gone it frees up $ and roster spots for next year. With Danks $ off the books soon, it gives even more flexibility to go after free ajents.

I would just worry about your own team rather than the White Sox. If you're going to continue to troll, at least be good at it.

Don't complain about the direction of the thread though. That is the problem.

Interesting. Seems to be the same philosophy the Cubs are using.

I don't think so. If that was the case, we would not be seeing the Eaton's and Abreu's with the Sox until 2018 or later. The Cubs have talent, but they have done so at the expense of being one of the worst teams in baseball for 3 straight years. Thats hard to do even if you are trying to lose.

It will be interesting to see how fast Rondo makes the MLB club. I'd be pretty shocked if he isn't on the team for next year.

Or you can look at the Sox and ask where catcher, 3b, SS, 2b, dh, rf and lf for the next 5 years are coming from? That's a lot of questions for a guy (Hahn) who thought signing Jeff keppinger was a wise decision.

As the days go by that 3B question gets sillier.

100% agreed. There still is a lot to be seen about him.

I like that he worked hard enough on rehab that he may be able to play this year. I did not think he came into the season in great shape and was kind of concerned about his dedication.
