Perfectly valid questions. You'll get no complaint from me.

Three years of Keppinger, is less than one year of Edwin Jackson. How can you still trust Theo after such a failure? I didn't even bring up Lackey or Crawford.

Again, why does every question get spun onto the Cubs? Nearly every single question gets spun around. No no no Chus pay up or shut up.

Why do you spin everything to the Sox?

Technically it was one year of Keppinger, as the Hahn realized his mistake and cut him.

Same reason you spin everything to the Cubs

I'm not saying nor implying that I never post about the Cubs. However the fact is that Kirkwood has far, far more posts in the Sox section this season than I do in the Cubs.

In fact, the Sox section has been one of the most active on the board over the last few days due to all of the Cubs fans posting in it.

If only the Cub fans would go to the White Sox games. Then maybe Hahn's vision would include signing big time free agents. Funds are connected to attendance and attendance is connected to funds.

Very true. And a very easy reason why can be seen with below example:

A very simple easy straightforward question flipped onto Cubs talk. Theo is in every Sox fan's head.

It's pretty simple. If we should have no faith in a guy who gave out a bad $12 million contract, then why do you have faith in a guy who has given out contracts that are exponentially worse?

Your pals have given you some good advice, that you should just stop talking for a while. It would be wise to heed that advice. You post more about the Sox than I do.

You just don't get it. He's mad that Sox fans talk too much about the Cubs so he is taking it to another level as some way to prove...something.

He has been very aware of all my posts, since I told him how stupid he sounded, when he messed his pants at the sight of a stroller in a bar. The "put up, or shut up" comment made that abundantly clear. I am occupying prime real estate in his dome. He can't quit me.

Even the Cubs' fans are embarrassed by him, but if making it about me, makes him feel better about himself, more power to him.

Get on back there, STRETCH!

If you're going to use Keppinger against Hahn, then maybe you should recognize the Abreu signing and Eaton trade. Those were great moves. My goodness, Keppinger is nothing in the big picture.

He's trolling. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't actually think that contract set the Sox back years or anything. Every team has bad contracts. GMs don't bat 1.000.

The board has been troll central lately especially as it regards Cubs and Sox commentary.

So Hahn has to not only rebuild a roster but Ventura proof it.

Some clarity on his vision:
Quote:
“There’s no honor in winning 77 games instead of 75. Our goal is to get consistently above 90 wins. We’re not going to get too hung up on winning a few extra games if we’re not the caliber of team we want to be. [When you trade veterans] you also can’t assume you’re automatically going to be worse because the guys you’re now going to be playing are young. That’s sometimes a flawed assumption. And even if you are perhaps getting a little worse, the benefit of those two months of development time will help you avoid that in the subsequent season.”

I guess that's why he wants to keep Robin around and built a horrible bullpen. Odd that I've heard this philosophy somewhere else but I'm sure this is totally different.

Wrong. Pitchers taken in the top 5 overall never bust out.

61% chance of him being Seaver!

Let's not misrepresent things.

61% chance of him being decent enough to have a 2.0 WAR per year

I think Seaver was better than that
