Another single hit hard up the middle. Keep him up.

Edit: Now some speed to beat a throw and some heads up baserunning to get to third on an errant throw. Keep him up!

They should. It's a shame they won't.

I'm torn. I think it might be healthy to give him a break. "Well done Arismendy, we'll see you in three weeks." Keep working hard.

I could go either way.

Yea, I'm not sure it ultimately makes a big difference. I just want to have a reason to keep watching.

Tying run scored, of course.

I hear you. I don't plan on going to any more games in the next month or so as I'm waiting on an itty bit of roster turnover. Hoping maybe at the minimum I can see a guy like Hendricks pitch and maybe two prospect types. It is possible Soler could make a September appearance, as well as Alcantara and Baez?

If Bryant, Soler and Alcantara are up in September, that may be the only thing to get me to a game. Hear what you are saying.

For now, Alcantara playing is enough to get me to tune in.

If you cannot enjoy a game on a July or August day just for the fact that it is baseball on a nice summer day, then you don't really like baseball.

I've been to 8 Cubs games so far this season, between Wrigley, Miller, and the Cell. I'm winding down for the next month or so.

Soler!!!!!!!!! Another bomb. He is on FIRE.

Russell still has not gotten a hit. He has to be 0-12 by now as a Smokie.

The yard can not contain Bryant any longer this evening. #9

Keeps it going, with his first career home run. On an 0-2 curveball. And a double to go with it.

Soler is having his way with AA right now. I thought he might be a lost cause with the injuries but he has returned with some authority.

They always said he could have the most potential of the trio including Cespedes and Puig. I don't believe it, but if he is close that would be amazing.

That's bad but this is worse

When Epstein arrived and gave Jeff Samardzija the chance to start, the chuckles were citywide. Samardzija was a bust and this experiment would never work.

Complete fabrication. Samardzija was really good in relief the year before and people were on board with him starting.

Barry met one guy at a hockey rink that said "Im not sure he cans start" and here we are.

I thought the plan all along was to get him enough arm stamina to be a starter. I don't ever remember hearing that he was not considered a starter.

Schwarber moving to Daytona. Was able to see him on Sunday... Stood out like a sore thumb. Was in a different league. Smoked the ball a few times.

Damn...good thing I went to his first game in KC. I hope he enjoys playing double headers every other day in the rain out capital of the country.

Zagunis should be up to KC then.

No. Like Len Kasper, I am quite pleased the Cubs are in last place.

Both hit for the cycle.

Buffets better beware of Schwarber and Vogelbach being on the same team. They are probably going to be doing serious work and clean the fuckers out.
