There it is: today is "literarily satisfying."

Don't worry, dan is going to make a phone call and nip that shit in the bud.

Well since LeBron is a mythical figure I can see him, feet kicked up on a cloud, casually devouring the sun as it sets over Akron, contemplating how best to impress Dan Bernstein.

Why does Matt Rodewald keep saying in every single update that the White Sox "picked a good time to be in Cleveland"? Does getting LeBron back make the Indians worse?

Signing him to a big deal even it isn't a max deal would be such a Bulls move.

This is the first day in the last fifty years that it has been a good day in Cleveland.

No they've been prudent about handing out big money to declining players, except for Wallace. The Bulls move would be to sign him when he's 35 for small change and expect him to contribute as if he's 30.

Yay! Dan is reading the letter now with his special brand of diction.

I don't think it's too far off to say there's a decent chance that Dan gets home at night, fires up his favorite podcast player, and ff's to his dramatic readings of other people's work (today, it was LBJ's "real" essay) and just stares at himself in the mirror, smiling. I've never heard anyone so satisfied with themselves as they "smartly" read stuff.

I did enjoy how he was so disgusted by the thought of Wade in Chicago that "I'm sorry, I'm making a call during the break".

His uptick in complete BS "guys" is just gross to me, at this point.............Terry I've just written off at this point, but holy crap is it crazy how Dan has adopted that style of making up plausible "info" on the fly (and crediting it to one of his many "guys").

Bad show......and Dan "hoping" that there's at least one fan in Miami that thanks LeBron (when he comes through in the preseason) was just LOL funny .... hope someone passes around Dan's expectations to the greater Miami area.

Thank god I was out all day and did not listen. While it is one thing to admire the great player that James is Dan is a goof. Do you think he really has just made this his thing to just troll the Jordan acolytes?

I think that's how it started. Now he seriously loves Lebron.

A reason why Lebron's story feels so satisfying to so many: it conforms in part to our familiarity with monomyth:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monomyth

The only thing sadder than Dan barfing out some hacky, self-important theory of LeBron as a classical hero at the center of a monomyth is the fact that it's not even his hacky, self-important thelry.

Someone on the Twitter needs to tweet that to Dan or the people who follow him...or the person who wrote the original article -- two years ago.

LeBron is more like King Minos. His mom is Ariadne who falls in love with the fearless warrior, Delonte West. But they all have trouble slaying the Minotaur aka Tim Duncan.
