Of course I'll be humble and not remind everyone that I was one of the people.

Just to clarify: Do you still believe Drew Gooden to be on the cusp of attaining perennial All-Star status?

They have all-star games in the Turkish basketball league?

Larry Bird or bust, racists. (Link to video). [Edit, I just now realized how old this is. I am very stupid]

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on-basketball/24620590/video-doug-mcdermott-goes-off-for-31-points-in-summer-league

Bulls rookie forward Doug McDermott went off for 31 points Sunday night in Summer League play vs. the Nuggets. The Creighton star hit five three-pointers, and shot with confidence and a quick release.

Most of those shots are wide open, with the Nuggets defenders playing off, getting lost, and going under (!!!) screens vs. Doug McDermott. It's summer league, not like scouting reports are going to be great, but I mean, it's Doug McDermott. Hand down, man down fellas.

It's a good sign for the Bulls that he's shooting with confidence. We'll have to see if he can get the same looks against NBA opponents, and against opponents who apparently have an idea of what they're doing, but still, it's a promising sign for the rook.

31 points is nice, but how did he look on defense?

That first SL game was rough -- he looked lost and slow.

I am hoping he finds his way or that Thib's system can help... I am glad we will have Mirotic as I am more confident in his ability to get his outside shot as well as his defense against SFs...

Haha, I was going to butt in there and wave my hands wildly. Trust me, at worst, this guy will be a decent piece. At worst, he's Korver.

You were definitely here first. I'll live with being the most stringent ass-licker.

Good to know that worst case scenario we got one of the best 3 point shooters in the history of the game.

You have Garpax and the scouting department to thank for that.

As far as nicknames go, RealGM seems to be trending toward "McDirty." Though one guy is trying to push "Pale Pierce."

BTW, McDirty dropped another 20 points today, with 6 assists and 5 boards. 7 for 13 shooting, 4 for 7 behind the arc, all in 26 minutes. Dude's ready.

I think you have to trade Dunleavy now. Especially if Snell has improved like many are saying.

I sure hope him and Mirotic come out of nowhere and make Gar/Pax geniuses.

All the anylitics guys say that shooting is the thing these days, and these guys are clearly tremendous shooters. The Bulls have been shitty at hitting 3's to this point, but these two guys can improve that by leaps and bounds.

I am with you. I a full in. And as I am not a NBA expert I would guess the last great season Bulls had was when we had Korver? Am I correct?

Funny the love for Korver now that he's long gone. I remember a lot of griping while he was here.

Not from me. Perhaps from a radio host bemoaning a white guy getting love over Rose as a troll. That dude drained what needed to be drained.

That will do... That will do. Sure rookie ball but the hoop and openings will be there for him in real games.

Korver just couldn't play defense and he would go stretches where he couldn't make a shot. It always appear to happen in the playoffs.

Dude has NBA range and an NBA release. He is going to open some lanes for everyone. I'm actually getting pumped about him and Mirotic. If Derrick can stay healthy (big if) this could be a real fun team to watch. Snell has made some improvements too.
