He did a "good job" in signing Abreu.

He did a superb job not seen before or since in any industry world wide.

Years from now school children will study his off season, and not from a baseball point of view, but from a Perfection is possible stand point.

You don't seem to react well to me on here.

Maybe calling me a troll one more time will help?

Why? Because I responded to you with hyperbole? Dont project your angst onto me. Im enjoying our exchanges and have for 7 years.

You are more sensitive now than in previous times. You troll. I sometimes troll. Im not calling you a troll. Im not saying you live under a bridge.

I almost never play this card but calm down.

While 2015 has slim pickings with likely only Lester/Shields/Scherzer as "young" TOR starters there looks to be a better selection in 2016 barring extensions being signed:
David Price
Rick Porcello
Jeff Samardzija
Mat Latos
Johnny Cueto
Jordan Zimmermann

There's a decent class of 3/4 starters in 2016 too:
Chad Billingsley
Yovani Gallardo
Ian Kennedy
Mike Leake
Kris Medlen

Porcello is a Boras guy so I'm assuming he's hitting free agency but who knows given Illitch is in DGAF mode.
Not sure Cincy can pay both Latos and Cueto especially since they have some nice pitching prospects waiting.
Shark is shark.
Zimmerman is getting another MRI. Stay away.

2. Price
2/3. Arrieta
4. Masterson
4. Hendricks
5. Wood/Straily/Beeler

Hopefully 1 of Pierce Johnson, Corey Black or Rob Zastryzny will be ready to provide starts too. With the volatility of pitching we need at least 6 solid starters and ideally 7.

I don't think Price will be a stud ace in two years with all the mileage his arm will have undergone by then but having a healthier Sabathia arc would be great. That's a solid A's like rotation.

Edwards said he is ready to take the mound on the 23rd. I hope that means game mound.

The paragraph stated that to you, one WS title would be failure. The Cubs haven't won a title since 1908, and haven't played in a WS game since 1945. And you want Theo to come in and start winning them left and right? Asinine. Idiotic. Moronic. Sure all teams fans want them to win all the time. Cubs fans especially should start with ONE and then see what happens.

Saying shit like that you come off an arrogant little shit. If you aren't trolling (which is exactly what Juiced does) it can only be that.

How can one be arrogant about demanding their sports team win? But call it you will, I don't care.

Again...who gives a shit about what the Cubs did in 1908 or 1945 or 1969 or 1984 or during any of their many terrible seasons? For me, baseball started existing when I became a fan. And so far it has been about 20 years. I'm not holding anything about the 1969 Cubs against Theo, or Ricketts. How does Cubs history affect them at all? The past should stay dead.

I care about the current organization, and that organization has done nothing but improve since Theo has become President. And based on the method of his rebuild...I expect the goal to be worth it. So yes...if you're going to sacrifice 5-6 consecutive seasons...you bet your ass I'm looking for a powerhouse team for years to come. Not one World Series...Theo's job isn't to satisfy older Cubs fans by doing everything he can to win just one World Series. His job is to build a strong organization that competes yearly...and with that he is trying to accomplish multiple World Series within a period of time.

Some guys don't mind settling. I have no reason to be completely elated with only one World Series and then a decade of subpar performance. It hasn't been 106 years for me.

Then its still been ~20 year for you, and you have seen THE best ever stretch of Cubs baseball since their back to back WS titles in the oughts.

Win one. Then go for 2, etc.
Not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7....

IMU, the major league team has not improved since they got here, very true. But everything else has, and it will lead to a much improved major league team. They just got approval for major new revenue streams at Wrigley plus improvements for the players and fans. They have improved their scouting and player development. Their Spring Training facility is brand new and first class. They have the top (or one of) rated farm systems in baseball. They have a low payroll devoid of poor legacy contracts (insert Edwin joke here). They have a plan, which no one here seems to like, but it is a plan and they are executing it.

It might, and probably should lead to an improved MLB team, but that is not a certainty.

A Major League's GM's job is to win at the MAJOR LEAGUE LEVEL! The minors are just there to improve the major league franchise. Alcantara and Baez are Hendry guys. So in Theo's 3 seasons he has brought in who exactly? The 3rd base prospect,David Wright,Almora and a few others...WHOOPEE!

Lost year for the dude but he's still young. There is still a month and a half of AA ball so maybe he can squeeze in a couple of starts. Then toss him onto the AZFL roster so he can get more burn. Next year open at AA and maybe midseason kick him up to AAA.

If the workload is too much and transitions to reliever then I think next year September he should be up in the bullpen.
