Maybe you should plan to have set hours fixing Avaya systems.

Helpful Hint: Time is a precious resource, and time mismanagement can lead to delays in project completion and a deeply unsatisfied homeowner. Unfortunately, when your services are in such high demand (like me), it can prove a challenge to remain focused and on-track. Thankfully my knowledge and experience allows me to work much more efficiently than the average Joe (like you). It sounds like common sense, but I would suggest some remedial courses on basic home improvement concepts. Once you have a better idea of how much time to allot to a certain task, your planning will take care of itself.

People in their twenties should not get married. The closer you get to 20 the more this is true.

20-30 year olds with unlimited options would have to be out of their freaking gourd to get married. They really shouldn't even enter into a long term relationship. What is the rush?

This doesn't make a lot of sense. Do you not like marriage?

I go to work after I get up and take a shower.

I go home when I get tired and feel like beating traffic.

Which takes more time in the morning - choosing which automobile or choosing which chauffeur?

I agree with him and no, its quite the opposite for me.

I think the success rate of marriages goes up with age doesnt it?

Also, there are some things you can do in your twenties (travel, take a chance on a dream career, do a little porn) that you cant do when you're settled down

This is true. A friend of mine lived over on Cornelia and in the basement apartment they were doing porn shoots late at night. She and I would be sitting in the courtyard watching the "actors" go in and you could see some activity through the windows.

And, I couldn't join in at the time because I was engaged. Opportunity missed......for the world.

Why? Was one of the actors another of the score of JORR partners?

I was married at 21 and don't regret it at all.

I work as little as possible. Usually about 7 hours/day, with an occasional 16 hour day to make up the difference.

I'm 24 x 7 and make / keep my own schedule. That said, I am in the office by 6am almost every day....and leave whenever the F I want. It's called a smart phone & proper delegation. I don't need to be at work to be working. That is a blessing and a curse....but more of a blessing. Happily married and very engaged with my kids!

Finally agree with JORR on something I guess. Work smart!

PS - I am "working" now as well.

You've seen the good and bad of all this. I agree with you, 39 is a good age for a man. Old enough to make semi mature decisions and have at least some financial direction. Young enough to manage children.

The age for women should be about 30 for a number of reasons

of course you don't but your wife does

There is the caveat to my rule for the men out there who look like their job description would include "hanging out under a bridge and disallowing travelers to cross". If you are in this group, grab the first girl who shows the slightest interest and hold on with both hands.

It makes plenty of sense from almost every perspective. We aren't in an era where estimated age of death is in our 50s and we don't need to reproduce in order to have cheap labor for the family business (except for Dr. Ken).

If family is your first priorty, get married first. If your career is first priority, take care of that first. Simple.
