They are making Thor a fucking woman. Fucking bullshit. Disney is gonna finally fuck things up

CBS easy this is last season of 2 and 1/2 men. How do they plan to end the series? Walden and Alan get married

The New Captain America is cool seeing as it's The Falcon. He's legit. Plus Rogers is still around and there has been a black Captain America before. Plenty of people have swung the shield.

The Thor thing is dumb as hell.

I like the Falcon, esp the version in the movies. Legit Hero. I got no problem with that.

I'm sure Sir isn't a fan of The Falcon. He was a racist concept. Uncle Tom Sam Wilson. Had to step and fetch for blue-eyed devil Steve Rogers. At first he was a social worker but then it turned out he was really a thug who has his memory erased or some shit. And they named him after a fucking Ford that was beloved by brothers. Nice stereotyping, Stan! He was no Luke Cage, that's for sure!

I still remember him and Dunston getting into a dugout fight.

Quote:
Williams Stalls As A Starter
Dunston, Wynne Fight
Cubs Lose
September 15, 1990|By Alan Solomon, Chicago Tribune.

4
ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Cardinals beat Mitch Williams and the Cubs 4-2 Friday night in Busch Memorial Stadium, leaving Williams wondering whether he`s cut out to be a starter at all.

In the preliminary, Shawon Dunston and Marvell Wynne fought to a bloody draw.

First, the fight, and it wasn`t funny. Wynne needed three stitches to close a cut in his forehead, and Dunston suffered a strain of his left shoulder that could keep him out for a few games.

A little background.

A lot of needling goes on in the Cub clubhouse-in most clubhouses-and much of it is good-natured. In the Cub clubhouse, things sometimes get a little physical: bear hugs, wrestling, playful jabbing.

Dunston came into St. Louis 3 for his last 36. Wynne, since Aug. 13, is 0 for 8, with just one at-bat in the last 12 games.

About an hour before Friday`s game, with the Cubs ready to begin batting practice, Wynne apparently shouted something at Dunston. Dunston, according to one witness, chided Wynne about his lack of playing time.

Suddenly, the two were wrestling on the artificial turf, which, based on past performance, didn`t seem unusual-until they came up swinging. Teammates and manager Don Zimmer rushed in to pull them apart.

``I don`t know what happened,`` said Zimmer. ``I was talking to (St. Louis manager) Joe Torre.

``They`re always messing around, the two of them. They`re always laughing and wrestling and messing around.``

Wynne, bleeding heavily from his forehead, was taken into the clubhouse for treatment. Dunston first sat alone in the dugout for a couple of minutes, then went into the clubhouse, where the two again began shouting and Zimmer had to restrain Dunston.

``He was taunting me,`` Dunston protested. ``He`s always messing with my stuff . . . ``

``I don`t care who started it,`` screamed Zimmer, who had his arms around Dunston. ``Stay away from each other.``

``It happens sometimes,`` Zimmer said afterward. ``I`m not even interested in whose fault it was. It happened.

``I told them I don`t want anybody to say another word about it. And if it happens again, I`ll nail `em.``

Which is what, later, the Cardinals did to Williams.

In his second Cub start-the first one that was actually planned-he lasted 3 1/3 innings and was rattled for four runs on seven hits, including four doubles and a triple.

Two-out doubles by Ray Lankford and Pedro Guerrero produced a run in the first inning. After Williams got through the second with no damage, he retired the first two Cardinals in the third before things fell apart.

A double by Ozzie Smith got it started, and a triple by Lankford made it 2-0. Lankford, who had three hits, has now hit in nine straight, batting .461 along the way. Another double by Guerrero and a single by Todd Zeile, and St. Louis led 4-0.

``I`ve never seen so many gappers in my life,`` said Zimmer, who stayed with Williams (1-8) until he walked two, including opposing pitcher Bryn Smith (8-8), in the fourth.

Asked if Williams would stay in the rotation, Zimmer said, ``Probably.``

And if asked, Williams said, he`ll go out there again.

``I just don`t know if this is for me or what,`` said Williams, ``I want to do what they want me to do.

``If I had my choice, there`s no question what I`d rather do. But he

(Zimmer) said they need a left-handed starter here, and I`m doing what I can do.``

Which wasn`t much Friday night.

``I just don`t have a fastball right now,`` Williams said. It`s that lack of an effective fastball, possibly due to his knee troubles, that cost him the stopper role in the first place. Starting would let him use other pitches-but the Cardinals hit everything Friday night.

The Cubs did make a game of it with a pair of runs off Ernie Camacho in the seventh. The Smith`s-Greg and Dwight-drove in the runs.

But it wasn`t enough to overcome Williams` second attempt to do the right thing.

``I`m not sure I`m cut out to do that job,`` Williams said of starting.

``But there wasn`t any point in turning it down. Why tell them no?

``If it doesn`t work, I know I can pitch out of the bullpen. I know I can save games.``

I forgot they ever tried to make Wild Thing a starter.

Oh, Zim.

I don't remember this Marvell Wynne guy at all, but going solely off of that card Dr posted, I would take Zimmer in that fight.

Dennis Eckersley doesn't remember himself starting.

The only thing the female Thor proves is that Marvel is out of ideas for new characters. Would've been better to make a new female hero than to do this Thor thing. This could be cool, though, if the original Thor now becomes a villain against this new Thor. Maybe Loki could use him & give him powers or something.

I like the Falcon becoming Captain America. There have been so many anyway, so why not him?

They already had Valkyrie.

They already had Valkyrie.

I know. But it doesn't have to be an Asgardian. If they wanted another female super hero, why not just create one? Or build up one of the many that they already have? They want a top level female hero, as they have mentioned in the stories about this. They have a huge library of them (including, as you mentioned, Valkyrie). So why not prop them up?

I have a feeling that in 16 months they'll be back to the original Thor. People are going to want the original & this publicity stunt will end.
