Apparently the chain is that owners need to be defended from players (they think Reinsdorf is cheap but he's not!) and players need to be defended from fans (they're making decisions about the rest of their lives!). Follow the money.

Also, there was something creepy about that open at the top of the hour with Dan yelling "you'd better thank social media every time you pay your mortgage!" at Erin Andrews. Like, what an odd mental picture to have to paint.

I like that Dan is no longer obsessed with social media merely as a literal thing (e.g. the utility of Twitter to track major sports stories) but also as an abstract idea. He sounds like a manager who considers watching TED Talks to be professional development. "Guys, we have to optimize our process through an infusion of innovative synergy to streamline end-user interfacing!"

See, the are correct sometimes.

While I am better than all of you, except for Q, Regular Reader and Irish Boy, I try to remain humble and not lord it over you.

It is another "thing" that he can latch onto and use to sound ahead of the curve and in the know...except that he really doesn't know what he's talking about.

I read that he said something like this yesterday. Would Erin Andrews not be eye candy for football fans without social media? Because Jayne Kennedy and Phyllis George strongly disagree

So I'm to presume he thanks the barren sports talk landscape in Chicago when he sends his money to Citibank (or whomever)?

I was on the ground floor of Erin Andrews back when sites like these were still considered social media and creepy guys were starting to stalk her in the even creepier, non-CSFMB hotel method.

She should be thanking Dr. Ken every time she pays her nonexistent mortgage!

I wasn't old enough to consume what Jayne was putting out but I do remember her being beautiful.

Elena Delle Donne is one of the few WNBA players that doesn't look like a wildebeest apparently, per Dan Bernstein.

Do the math.

She's 6'-5".
Not just a woman who would impose a sense of inferiority, but one of Amazonian (true beast) stature.

I guess he would keep her for himself to breed with and not turn her over to the big black studs #lookattheirbodies

I'm guessing her teammates line-up to watch her shower...whatever Michael Sam said about showering with teammates be damned.
