Final season starts September 9th. The premier will be a hour and 45 minutes long. It takes place 10 days after the events of last years season finale. Jax is in prison and he ends up meeting with a new character named Ron Tully.

I believe Ron Tully is being played by Marilyn Manson. Just read that this week. Should be a crazy last season. I
see my DVR has been recording last seasons episodes lately so they must be replaying them each week to ramp
right into the final season. I'll probably start watching them this weekend.

I've never even seen 5 minutes of this series, is it really that good?

The plot lines are pretty ridiculous but overall it has been a pretty good series. I think I compared it
in another thread to a soap opera for guys.

You could do a lot worse. I checked out after, I think, the 3rd season, but occasionally read about it in places and if I remembered I would catch at least a part of an episode where something "big" happened.

I like it. Takes Violence to a whole new level. Sutter has said that if you thought last season was bloody that this year is going to blow the lid off. He also reminded everyone of the source material so you know how everything is going to end

Did this show inspire you to attempt that armored car robbery on your bicycle?

Yes. Good most of the time. Great at other times.

Over the top and unrealistic at times but it's a television show and not a documentary.

Yes, Manson will be playing Tully. A pic was released yesterday of Jax and Tully meeting in prison. Also signed was Courtney Love to play Abel's preschool teacher.

That's what I was getting at Ike. They patch in some drama and story around the violence.

I checked out sometime during the season with Damon Pope. I've kept up on it but had no desire to go back and watch. I couldnt suspend my disbelief for that many seasons in a row.

If you stopped after Ireland then you made a mistake.

100%.

Agree 100%. The end of season 3 was good, and since then, seasons 4, 5, and 6 were solid. Can't wait to see Gemma get it. Only question is will Jax do it himself, or someone else. Kind of think maybe Unser does it.

I didn't although the last season I didn't have time to watch. Tara and Gemma got annoying enough to not make it must watch tv. I gladly tolerated the shield. The fake MC thing I think bothered me seeing wanna be bikers. Man I remember Charlie from undeclared and he was awesome in that show.

I'm needing a new show. I might give SOA a shot. I watched the Breaking Bad episode Ozymandias for about the 50th time last night. Still awesome.

SOA is good. Worth the time. It has some slow patches, but overall it's quality.

I just did a rewatch of the pilot for Breaking Bad. My favorite podcast for that (Breaking Good from Bald Move) is doing a rewatch so I'm planning to follow along.

It's surprising how entertaining it still is on a second watch.

100% agree. I think it was this past NYE in which they aired the entire series all over again. I stayed up til 3-4 a.m. while watching the final eight episodes. I'll probably watch the final two tonight.

I felt the same way when I rewatched the series. I remembered the first season, especially the first episode, being a bit lighter so I wasn't sure if it would hold up but it does. My only real issue is that the first season feels a little incomplete. Well not incomplete, per se, but it feels like they clearly knew they had a second season coming. The finale felt like part 1 of a 2-parter to me.

That's because it is incomplete. They had to halt filming due to the writers' strike.
