My partner and I have a website that was knocking down about 3 grand a month from Google Ads. We got a notice that they were shutting our ads down for "pornography". There is no pornography on the site, although there is some admittedly tasteless stuff. When we appealed, suddenly pornography was no longer the issue. They now are accusing us of "driving ad clicks". I'm not even sure what that means. I guess it has to do with the placement of the ads in a manner that induces clicks. Like every other website in the world.

It's good that in this day and age you can be open about your partner.

I always suspected JORR was driving ad clicks when he railed against suburban ennui.

Not really. In fact, it's childish enough to be on my dumbass website.

The beer list at Cooper's Hawk isn't that good.

I told you it isn't funny. It's not even original. It's just an aggregator of idiotic pictures and memes.

And fuck McAfee. That fucking psycho down in the jungle threatening Belizean hookers with a machete. And he killed a guy, didn't he? Yeah, I'm really trusting that asshole to protect my computer.

Just saying.

Yes, yes he did. That said, when the technological singularity occurs and robots take over the world, I won't be surprised if they are running on McAfee to protect themselves from us. Fucking robots.

Yeah, and I think the actual issue McAfee has is with Google Adsense itself.

I think they must flag images from Google Ads that pose the potential for exposing hooks for viruses.

This seems like a fascinating topic.

I would love to understand how this works if you two could explain it.

Oh my god, our Joe Orr Road Rod supplies facebook wall fodder to dudebros, receptionists, and grown-up teen moms. This revelation is nothing short of staggering. This is like finding out the valedictorian sells pot.

You might not want to Google "Dave in Champaign's Smitten with Kittens Prrrspectus" then.

In a nutshell, the technological singularity will be the point where artificial intelligence has surpassed human intelligence. Conceptually, we may never be able to fully realize that we have been surpassed. The best analogy is the awareness of dogs compared to the awareness of humans. It doesn't mean that we will automatically become slaves to robots, but its certainly possible.
