Remember though Varys is also a master of disguise. They have only hinted at that in the show so far.

Barely even hinted, they had him as a turnkey like twice in season one? The fact that they didn't revisit that this season was bizarre and makes me think that they aren't going to explore the disguise thing in any significant way. Also, I think Varys almost has to disappear to properly set up what Crystal Lake Hoffy was referring to earlier.

What an episode, these books can't get here fast enough. I totally didn't see the beheading happening, Sansa is a naïve little twit, isn't she?

Tyrion couldn't even get into battle and Jaime's army was smashed. Good shit all around.

Just finished season 3. This episode and Ned's beheading specifically were the peak for me. (The Red Wedding was good, but It was impossible not to hear about that so my shock factor was comprimised)

I saw something quoted. Apparently you were giving out spoilers that have been since deleted, but some of them are quoted.

I saw something I wish I hadnt, but its no big deal. Just fuckin around. And I know the possibility is always there when going in tv threads

Wow, this was a huge spoiler unless I missed something this was posted 6 days before the Red Wedding aired

It didnt affect me but I dont get what so hard about not posting spoilers. And not just QBo, its seems rampant on CSFMB

Every time you post one of these "Oh man, people think this...I didnt say anything lololol" you're telling us what happens.

Yup. It makes it hard to read this thread.

Just remember, this is the HBO Game Of Thrones thread.

I completely agree, lipid. Oberyn is perhaps the best-written character on a show full of richly developed characters.

Very interesting. The Compassion and righteousness not seen since Ned Stark

I read the next episode is all taking place at The Wall. Ugh. Better be a good battle. The Wall bores the piss out of me. The show made Dolorous Edd the calm voice of reason in the last episode. An odd writing choice. I always liked his bits of gloom in the books.

The war scenes saved the boring ass WALL setting

If you consider that a spoiler then I dont really feel too bad. If I said Headless Ned Stark comes back as a White Walker to attack the wall then you would have a legit complaint. But I wouldnt spoil something important like that or the fact that Dany mates with her dragons to make a race of hybrid Humons.

Fuck it. If you don't look shit up you are a weirdo who likes to surprise himself for no good reason. You shouldn't even click on a thread about a show if you don't want to get in on the inside dirt. Go instead to your nearest water cooler.

Ah, here's the explanation.

That's one of the dumbest things Ive ever seen you write Panther. And dont double down on the idiocy by sayiing you look up spoilers to movies you see. If you do that, you're weird, not the other way around.

But, I agree with your line about not clicking on the threads. Many here are incapable of posting spoiler free and you just flat out enjoy spoiling things.

Man I hope nobody read your season one spoiler. That would have ruined the show for me.

Well, you did it a few times.

Like I said, my policy is if you go in the thread, you get what's in there and that's that.

It just seems like you kinda didnt want to give spoilers but you were still kind of giving them indirectly.

I shouldnt single you out though because it seems like in these final pages it became kinda open on the spoilers. Except for Councilman Les Whinin who has been great at posting his thoughts sans any spoiling.

Anyway, great show. Just got caught up.

Can I start reading the books from this point or is it necessary to read them all?

Anyway, Zack, you posted that the Red Wedding was the real ending and Fatty McKillsCharacters just didnt want to end it?

Im kinda with you but how would all the other storylines end up then?

Theon enslaved, Dany becomes a slavemaster, The Starks perish? Just an all out everybody loses? That would be cool

i don't think he should've necessarily kept it as a trilogy; but yes, that was the original plan. i don't know what was going to be the fates of others but i definitely think that he throws a lot more "O RLY?" storylines in books 4 and 5 that kind of seem out of place from the first 3 books. he's taking it into some other direction...if he could get to what that direction is faster in the 6th book i'll forgive "dragons".

I think that link contains the prevailing theory but I could certainly see it spinning out a different way. Who the fuck knows what GRRM is going to do???

I would recommend reading the books from the beginning. The show gives you the bones of the story but you lose a lot of feeling. If you like Tyrion on the show you'll love him in the books even more.

He confirmed just the beginning of it. The main theory itself isn't really mentioned.

The guy was on one season of a show. I dont think I'm going to listen to Sean Bean as the end all be all of GoT info. Now if it was benioff and weiss saying it, I would listen a lot more closely. I think Martin has told them exactly how the story will end in case his ticker finally gives up the battle.

i think it has more weight as a narrative device because it links the title of the whole book series as that youtube video points out. it even makes more sense than the idea that ned would have cheated on cat. i like the theory...
