As mentioned by others, both were popular features on the B&B show. Goff would hit the "Gay" button anytime something was said that was weird, stupid or feminine. Goff hit this button a lot. Terry used "Count Fagula" at the beginning of the show to introduce his producer. That was their clever little nickname. Nice, right? Yeah. Done by the same people that pretend to be outraged by Tony Dungey. I'm pretty sure there was other anti-gay/homophopic things done by Bernstein, Boers, drinky and goff. Just can't think of it right now.

Now, I think Bernstein once addressed the "Gay" drop. Saying something like "we've evolved". Whatever the hell that means. I think he just found a new thing for his show. Where he decided he's gonna hate people who hate gays. To do this, Bernstein realized he has to hide the fact that he hates gays himself. And, of course, his "team" followed his lead.

The fact that they used "Count Fagula" as a nickname for their producer was quite something. I think that was only 10 years ago. "burrito" was regarded as a slur back then. Terry was in his mid 50s when he used the slur. But now he's evolved at 64, I guess. Or, like Bernstein, he has to pretend not to be homophobic so he can fake outrage over other homophobes.

To summarize.

Boers, Bernstein, drinky & Goff = Tony Dungey

Making derogatory jokes is not equivalent to expressing deeply rooted, heart-felt bias. I don't think it's unusual to evolve ones language use. I certainly don't use the same terminology as I did 25 years ago...and I think that's a good thing (the PC movement has been a good thing for the most part IMO ).

Larry's not off the hook either. Pretty sure back in the day, when subbing, he would give Terry a loud "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha" every time he said "Count Fagula". What Bernstein said of Dungey applies to Larry as well, I guess. "Homophobia from a black guy is more shameful."

But now I guess Larry will say he read some thing in the bible telling him Uncle Teary was wrong. So he's evolved, too. Everybody associated with Bernstein has to pretend they've evolved.

That's one accusation that will never be leveled at you BD.

Didn't have to evolve. I've always known "F.a.g" was a slur. And that using the word "gay" to describe weird and stupid stuff is wrong. I would have thought a Duke education would have made you realize what I've always known a lot sooner than your 40s. Guess not. I didn't expect the rest of Berntein's soldiers to realize it until Bernstein told them it was wrong.

Keith Olberman is going HARD after Dungey right now. Pretty much exposed him in a lie of his explanation of what he said. The OWN reality show was canceled well before Dungey's interview. The reporter verified this. So Dungey lied.
