Last night Wrigley gave the Cubs a standing ovation for getting 3 outs after 9 run 6th. A kid, I'd say around 8-10 years-old, sitting in front of me in the bleachers turned to his dad and said "fucking jackson sucks". The dad's face was in shock.

My last memory of this baseball season will be singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame with my friend Eddie Vedder. glorious

ESPN2 has been giving me CFL football on Thursdays and Saturdays. It beats the hell out of watching the Cubs!

I love the NFL and enjoy College Fooball. I love September and October when all three are in full swing.

I dont know if there is a better month than October. Football is front and center with Baseball playoffs if you want them. The weather is cool but you still get some beautiful days mixed in and then you cap the month with Halloween, which depending on your age, is awesome for either the parties with slutty chicks (20s), the free candy (kids), the free stolen candy (parents).

The NFL is great even without gambling. Gambling exists for other sports too. In fact, baseball pretty much invented a good portion of it in the United States.

Sure, gambling exists in other sports, but the largest percentage of a Vegas sportsbook's handle comes from football, by far.
