I've see this mentioned twice this week. Is this a Bernsie thing?

Because that's a pretty interesting book.

He's mentioned this book a few years now. There was a hilarious transition recently involving the book too.

I have the book and can agree that it is very good.

Thanks to the sort of internecine conflict that usually characterizes the highest levels of the Afghan government, these Bulls have self-positioned themselves for a major paradigm shift; whether the effect of said shift is a return to the halcyon days in which the Jordan Bulls seemingly perennially represented the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals (though, it should be noted, without having to go through the LeBron-led Heat), or a Comedian-in-Watchmen fall from grace is the operative question of Chicago basketball for the next ten years, regardless of the protestations of the UC upper deck's (and the Score airwaves') assortment of chest-beaters and mouth-breathers.

I can't tell whether he actually wrote that. Great work if it's original, especially "self-positioned themselves."

 Thats getting it done right there. Great work , Dave.

Animals have low IQ's. Pet ownership is at its best an utter hassle, if not a full blown threat to public safety.

David Foster Wallace was a big fan of the show. We exchanged a few emails.

"You know why he's not on the team, right? Because he isn't any good!"

Takes caller with Midwestern accent, says (under his breath), "This will be great..."

Jingoism has no place in the NFL and football is in no way analogous to war.

Mac just does it because he's a penis.

Bernsie does it to sound smart (and he's also a penis)

Yep. Mac does it in an ironic self-important voice that echoes the overblown stylings of his mentor, Chet Coppock. bernstein actually uses it as a plural in the same way I'm sure he tells cabbies to take him to Wells and ɡøːtə (Goethe) while some confused Muslim driver has to cut short his phone coversation to figure out where the fuck that is.

And the Muslim guy is really gonna have a shitty ride when Goff gets in next to Bernsie and says Chicago and Division.

"The Bulls get it." Which is funny, because saying that someone gets it is also a Leery catchphrase, only in a very different way.

He's got great sources who report to him news that's already public. They just confirm what we've already been hearing.

When he does occasionally try to give a scoop on something, he leaves a lot of room to explain that away later.
