He's 4-4 tonight with another HR. Time to move up.

Probably a lefty starter. Russell's been terrible vs RHP since coming back from his two month DL stint. And who takes two months for a hamstring pull? hmmm.

Jacob Hannemann. Cubs drafted him last year out of college.

I could see some appeal in spending the summers just playing catch and talking to fans in the low-stress environment of the minors.

If you've got money to burn, seems like it would be a fun way to spend your summer.

isn't the reason Manny's doing this is he's Antoine Walker broke? Maybe some of the bonus babies can buy him dinners.

That's what Levine hinted at.

Almora 4-6 2B, 2RBI still stinks overall
Russell 4-6 2B, RBI raising his BA to .303

Kenny's Linebacker Jared Mitchell went 2-4 with a walk!!!

Hannemann 1-3 2B 2BB SSS .412BA
Schwarber 0fer BB .244
McKinney 2-5 2B 2RBI - Batting a sneaky .312!

McKinney is a forgotten dude. When Almora busts he can slide into CF.

CJ Edwards also pitched 3.2IP 1H 1ER 3BB 6SO 36 pitches

I'll give it a month before his arm troubles reoccur.

You're wrong on Almora. It is his fifth game in AA, give him a few more.

Since midway through May or so, he has been just as hot of a hitter as Baez, just with less pop of course. He can definitely be a guy that can contribute in the majors. And he still has at least a couple more years to develop. No way to tell at this point.

What are we talking about here?

Almora is a first round pick from two years ago. Cant expect everyone to be Bryant. Chill out.

Plus Steve Stone has him penciled in for 15 years in Wrigley CF

Almora seems to already have the floor of Beckham. The analysts say he is ML ready to excel defensively. There is no way I can tell who is a bust from box scores. Just playing a little chicken little :D

Nope. Lofton left for the Braves for a year. Hunter was 10 years with Twins

Sorry I was not sure you were saying one team. I thought you were saying they are no longer durable enough to go 15 at all.

So Stone's prediction is that he will be the 2nd most prolific CF in the history of baseball?

Maybe not a first-ballot HoF guy like Bryant, Soler, or Baez but it does seem reasonable.

In reality, probably only one of those guys goes in on the first ballot

I mean, way less than 80% of top prospects make the hall of fame

Bryant sucking ass in his last 11 games going .194BA .333OBP with an above average walk rate of 11.63% and shitty 25.58% K-rate.

BRick nags us about 90s Atlanta Braves but with all the strikeout artist bats we're going to be 2010s Atlanta Braves.

Bryant is purposely sucking just so he can show the Cubs he can make adjustments and improve.

I have said it before, if everything works out, they have designed an 80s al team, with power, free swinging and players plugged into defensive positions because of their bats.

what players "plugged in" to what positions because of their bats specifically?

Alcantara hadn't played of until this year. Bryant has never played of but there has been a perpetual discussion about that. Most didn't expect Schwarber to be a catcher even on draft day. They are trying to find an MLB position for Baez

Really the only prospects who are affirmative choices at their positions are Almora and russell
