Hamlin's character on Mad Men never felt totally fleshed out to me. Maybe he wasn't supposed to, because it was important that we saw him only as some interloper and not a fully realized character like the ones we've grown to love, but not really moving beyond "mwa ha ha and then I will destroy Don Draper and take over the woooooorld (or at least the agency)" felt a little incongruous and hacky to me.
