Kick ass show.

Cornell still has the pipes and the band sounded great.

NIN was excellent. Good setlist.

Did you say hi to Doug?

I'm beginning to think Doug and SomeGuy are the same person. It would explain a lot.

one screenname for me...

NIN was excellent as always. One of my favorite shows.

I was pretty impressed with Soundgarden. I was really surprised by the amount of low-end and bass. You could feel "wind" against your body.

NIN Setlist:
Copy of A
Sanctified
Came Back Haunted
1,000,000
March of the Pigs
Piggy
Terrible Lie
Closer
Gave Up
Me, I'm Not
Find My Way
The Great Destroyer
Eraser
Wish
Only
The Hand That Feeds
Head Like a Hole
Encore:
Hurt

Soundgarden setlist:
Searching With My Good Eye Closed
Spoonman
Rowing
Outshined
Black Hole Sun
Jesus Christ Pose
The Day I Tried to Live
My Wave
Superunknown
Fell on Black Days
A Thousand Days Before
Burden in My Hand
Rusty Cage
Beyond the Wheel

Got a flat tire leaving the show which totally sucked. If you didn't know how to take off a VW Jetta tire, you never would have figured it out. Some goofy little hook thing to pull the lug nut caps off....Thankful for AAA.

Garth Brooks is about to sell out 10 shows at the Allstate in about 3 hours.

I would like to see him in concert, but there is no way I am paying what you would have to pay for the tickets.

I just got a pair for $135.

Every ticket in the building is $65 face. Plus, they are doing something where you have to show the credit card you bought it with to get in to screw over scalpers.

That's what they say. No way are they checking every persons credit card as they walk in and I dont know if they have the right to. What if it was a disposable pre-paid?

The Vic vs the Allstate Arena though....lot more people.

What do they do, match up the numbers? Seems like it would take 5 hours to get into the venue.

Sure glad they didn't do this for Billy Joel.

I think all they check is the name on the card and the last four digits. Metro did something like this for a Pumpkins show.

How was Matt Chamberlain on drums? Insanely versatile drummer.

I thought he was great as a fill-in, but I saw him get ripped for not being Matt.

Wait, Matt Chamberlain filled in for Matt Cameron, or did he play with NIN?
ETA - Chamberlain subbing for Cameron who is still on tour with PJ.
Odd choice, I would've picked a different drummer named Chamberlain to play
with Soundgarden, but Matt is fantastic as well.

Matt Chamberlain is head and shoulders above any other drummer named Chamberlain.

Agreed 100% Fantastic show, was pumped NIN played sanctified. Great stage show as well, Trent sounded good and the band was tight.

Soundgarden was top notch as well. Cornell just sounds great, regardless if he's 50 or not.

I almost shit myself on the walk back to the Sweet Spot, 10 more seconds and I would have messed myself. We should cross paths next time, Doug. First drink is on SomeGuy.

I saw Cornell with Audioslave around 2002, and he was awful.

Caught a Soundgarden performance on TV after they reunited, and he didn't sound very good either.

Was that audioslave at Tinley? Last touring lolla? If so I didn't think he was bad at all but I might be confused on the dates.

No, it was their first tour right after the S/T album was released at The Riv. The show was awful.

I did catch them at that Lolla show, and he was better there.

I just saw Kenny Loggins at Elk Grove last night. Not a big fan but it was for free and it was real nice out. Outside of the fact his face looks like botched plastic surgery,he sounds great.

posted this in a few different venues...but if anyone wants or knows anyone who wants 2 tix for Jenny Lewis @ Park West on Friday, they're yours for free

i accidentally got tix for 2 different shows on the same night and i'm going to the other one....I think the Jenny Lewis show only very recently sold out so i don't think there's a huge market if i try and sell it, and i'd rather have someone use them then just waste them
