mr. chicago used to wax poetic about "brothers in white t-shirts on chicago ave or whatever" well hey funny story... once i was in the neighborhood supporting the local economy (call it white guilt, call it what you will) and as i was walking out up chicago ave from homan there was a blue and white tahoe sitting there on one of the side streets just b4 you hit kedzie mall.... they called me over as i walked by and asked the question of the day: what was i doing down there?

naturally, i laughed in their face. "you wouldn't believe me if i told you" --- "oh yeah? try us.... are you here for the real estate deals?" "no, i'm actually some kind of a wannabe rapper so i was working on my street cred as it were, so i was just down here keeping it real with a few ciphers... you know, official rap business"

the only thing i can really say in self defense is that i've pretty much done whatever the fuck i wanted for the last ~16 years of my life. now yes, i'm a dumbass an asshole a loser a horrible person and most notably WAY WAY LESSER OF A PERSON THAN YOU, however my inner-asshole decided to go out and have a go at what people do when they retire.... except that i technically retired somewhere around age 18-23 and well, you know, when everyone around you is literally programmed to think that you're some sort of a blight on the fabric of their existence because you're not in a hurry to pay for gas, mortgage, and alimony like it's some fucking measuring stick of my existence. i occasionally slag off defaced music for that

i got this nickname while playing basketball in a more diverse area of skokie some years back... "white dude with a shot" -- i always liked that because you can't live the live that i have... ahem. obviously haven't (thank you TM) lived and not think that at some point you could spot everyone in the world around you 50-100k, cars families self/respect and whatever else.... but still someday if you ever felt quixotic enough to do it you could blow them all out of the water because for everything that's wrong with me, welp, at least i haven't had my childhood dreams of being an astronaut crushed by the great combine of society.

and with that in mind, i'll always take my chances over yours. go pay a random bill today and i hope you chortle as you think "A-HA!!! I HAVE DEFEATED SINICALYPSE ONCE AGAIN!!!!" because, oh yeah, you have. again. * tips fedora *
