What would you have preferred for the ending?

A less ridiculous way of eliminating Tyler and the book ending (Narrator in a mental hospital thinking it's heaven) would have worked.

Ah, didn't read the book.

I didn't mind how he killed off Tyler. I'll have to go back and watch it, but I can see how it might have gone overboard with the fighting in the building.

I thought the ending fit well with the social commentary the movie was portraying.

Any movie or show that ends as a dream or schizophrenia is garbage .

Oh, yeah, Im with you there. Im talking about the shooting himself in the mouth. Like he suddenly knew how to eliminate Tyler by shooting himself in a certain place?

Mission:Impossible 3

Very good action flick right up to the part where he has to die and she has to shock him back to life. Like that shit can happen in real life! oh yeah and the happy ending where they are smiling and cajoling at HQ...TERRIBLE!

I haven't seen any of the Mission Impossible movies...but I'm guessing that pretty much everything leading up to the ending was very unrealistic as well?

Brilliant selection.

I get that the movie falls off dramatically after basic training, but it actually think the ending is perfect.

I can see that, but I just didn't like it and there were some good scenes as well.

Are you insane? It ends as the events played out historically. Well as much as the Mossad let out but from the book it came close to what went down.

the last 20 minutes were absolutely unnecessary. please.

another one..."poltergeist II: the other side". had a great first hour but the ending was incredibly cheesy and strangely cheap looking considering the rest of the effects looked outstanding. and i believe stan winston was behind them.

Well they showed the bible verse that foreshadowed the ending in every third scene, so they pretty much had to end it that way.

Yeah, that's a great video. I hadn't watched it in a while. I wish Zabka had been cast in more 80s movies when he was at the height of his powers.

Not sure if you're a Twitter guy but Zabka is a good follow. He totally GETS who he is and embraces it.

The parenthesized descriptions are always good on IMDB but these are fucking great

Terry Silver: [in steam filled bathroom talking to John Kreese on phone] I'm telling you, we will be up and running.
John Kreese: [getting back massaged] What about the winners?
Terry Silver: Those two jerk offs are taking up all my time. But you just relax. For the boy he will compete. I'm telling you too, that he is going to be begging me to be his teacher. And what he's going to learn from me is pain in every part of his body. And fear in every part of his mind. But here's the kicker he's going to thank me for it later. Then I'm going to think he's invincible. But then when he steps out into the ring of the tournament, he's really going to find out what pain's all about.
[smiles a bit more evilly]
Terry Silver: Out in front of a thousand people. Anything else my friend you want me to do to him?
John Kreese: [looks at his hands] Yes. Make his knuckles bleed.
Terry Silver: [shocked/amazed] Hey! Johnny! I like that! I like that, my friend! I'm going to use that!
