What does bar access mean, by the way? Bernstein used this terminology when he "revealed" the big news (barf), and I just checked their site - same thing. Is that open bar, or does that mean that they let you walk up to a bar (and pay cash for your drinks)?

I may be slow on the uptake, and this is common code for "open bar", I don't know.

I'm just curious - as I'd think it'd being an open bar (at that price point) is a decent deal.............for some.

It means the riff-raff will be barred access to teh bar.

I always love Bernstein's sales technique. He's doing it now. It's not unique to him. It's pretty common. You always say tickets are going fast so get them now. He'll be saying this every day. Bernstein does this for all of his events. Then the day before the event he's always begging people to buy tickets.

That will be the case for this party as well.

100% correct. The day they announced this, Berns said he was told tickets were going really fast. Fast forward to a month later, and he's still selling this a couple times a show. I know it goes to a good cause, but does this show do anything anymore that doesn't go towards Lil Danny's charity? I have a hard time putting money towards something that I know he is associated with, and constantly begging for. He's a bad guy, and I don't trust him.

I hated the HFC. Every single joke was a standard Boers homoerotic joke.

It wasn't until Mac got away from Boers that I felt like he got his voice. Best thing that ever happened to him.

Who in his right mind would pay to mingle with Score "personalities" and their acolytes?

What's the appeal?

These are like those corporate interview pizza parties one would go to in college as a prelude to getting an interview to be the next Score Search Winner.

I found Terry to be genuinely funny back then. He would make little quips that would crack me up. The biggest problem with the show was losing the signal around Palatine. I lived in Cary at the time.

So it's been about 28 days since these tickets went on sale. Bernstein said the first day that they are going fast. I remember he said they were selling about 400 tickets.

If you didn't sell 400 tickets in 28 days, THEY ARE NOT GOING FAST.

Most places they can move the walls to make the room fit whatever you have. As it sounds like they didnt plan this until 2 or 3 months ago, I am sure they worked out a deal with the hotel, because the hotel had nothing going on that date.

10th reunion, we went by, saw the line and kept going. Lots of complaints about the charges for the drinks, the VIP area being upstairs, etc. I knoew better, didnt go.

The first BB roast they did I think we all had a good time (those who went). You could just tell it was good once and shouldnt have been done again, but there they are, try it again. Ozzie, Doug, Roenick....just didnt work.

This shindig? Being that Matty is involved in planning, I think drinks will be flowing.. They will be included.

Do I want to sit at a table with Maddux Boy, Quad Pat, Unemployed Lawer, etc. No thanks.

Bring back the cousins!

Larry said he was talking to some "Mystery guy", of whom he wouldn't tell Dan, about whether he should go or not.

Larry said he is indeed going and he's gonna go HARD. Whatever the hell that means?

This "mystery guy" is somebody that Dan knows very well according to Larry.

Bet he was talking about Jason Goff. I don't know why Larry can't say that Goff is going. What's the big deal?

Yeah Goff makes sense. Or maybe it is Mike North.

No. Larry wouldn't be talking to Mike North.

It's Goff. Goff's the type that wants to be appreciated at a B&B celebration. He wouldn't miss it.

It was just jokes. No way north would show up to their anniversary. Maybe Murph will.

Exactly. I've been a voice in the wilderness regarding this lunatic for most of the past decade. Glad to see people are finally coming to their senses.

I've never heard more gay jokes and references on a sports-talk show than I heard on B&B before Dan evolved.

Their show was "weird, gay, and bad."
Callers would call and say "Really gay show, guys."
Their email address was, tee-hee, @hotmale.com, not @hotmail.com.

Terry did used to make a ton of sexual references, though. Buffone didn't start the gag about "Terry's Adult Bookstore" and "TB Diddlers" didn't come about for no good reason. There was one incident on the old HFC show (probably around '94 or '95) when Terry was talking about a guy with bells on his nipples. Shortly after, an irate caller reamed Terry saying something along the lines of "I just tuned into your show, with my young son, to hear about sports and you're talking about some guy dancing around with bells on his nipples?! What the hell is wrong with you?!"

But, that was just an extension of the HFC and Terry. That's why it was good to get Mac out of there.

To paraphrase Yul Brynner from The Ten Commandments, "Terry's shadow fills all things with gay."

I did learn that being at the Radisson is like being in Barcelona.

That'll save a few bucks.

:( I still use hotmale@hotmail.com when people ask for my e-mail, and I don't want to give them my actual one. Am I on the wrong side of history? If I am, I will donate to @SQNEvents ASAP.

I thought the Radisson guy said the B&B party was in a ballroom which holds 800 people.
