I'm a fan of Ed Lynch.

Is that Ed wood and David Lynch's child? That would explain Eraserhead.

I don't watch baseball though so I have no idea about any player not named Henry Cotto.

Yep, ever since I saw the old Twin Peaks television show as a whelp. I have not followed him much the last few years. He sort of went off the grid with his projects the last decade. I still haven't seen Inland Empire but Dumbland was fun bad.

"inland empire" and "mulholland drive" are two of his best modern films. he should've never touched "dune".

Inland Empire was awesome IMHO. It was so lynch. His music is yeah I gotta be in the mood for it, just like his films, but good. Totally interesting cat. Very acquired taste. You love him or run away screaming. I mean blue velvet is his most accessible film I guess. Maybe Mullholland? Can't say twin peaks because that was network and mostly frost but it changed tv no doubt.

it's too bad he had to even go through it. one of the ugliest looking films ever.

i wrote a review of "inland empire" years ago. if you want, have a look, see if you agree:

Mostly agree and as he is open to interpretation and a good write up. To me and only me as would be the case the haunting of "47" was huge in that film. Very comprehensive though and well articulated. Better than I would have done. A great read.

The Straight Story was pretty accessible. My guy Richard Farnsworth was great but lost in a tough field for the Best Actor award. Think he offed himself not long after.

Absolutely it was. I guess that and elephant I don't consider lynchian views although very lynch films. His dreamscape pseudo astral projection things welled in the underbelly of urban and rural darkness enthralls me.

He was right to refuse Lucas on directing empire strikes back but wow how awesome that would have been.

Lynch's latest project. I believe Bret Easton Ellis is writing a biography of Duran Duran as well.
