They'd be crazy not to fix them.

Why would they have to fix them? The odds are with the house already.

Because you can make the advantage larger without regulation?

Most of these casinos are run from Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

They used to run them via Antigua, then some shit went bad and the claims started coming in and the government couldnt keep up with the claims.

Thats why costa rica and nic tried to swoop in and run it with some higher levels of control, etc.

HOWEVER!

new Prime Minister in Antigua is ready to bring back the Online gamers with Bodog enlarging their corp HQ in Antigua and some other huge investment company essentially buying the island with a Mega resort/casino that is also Online!

It's a $1 Bill project! and thats like $5 Bill spent in the US!

Its what Ceasars and MGM dream of! people being able to play online and then ne able to lure them to vegas with different offers, etc.

So, in summary and not to Sini it up.

I don't think they started out being fixed, I think they had a problem with payouts, account hacking etc and the sites (over 100 listed in Antigua) ignored people, and played deadbeat. Thus they folded. So I dont think they are set up to cheat, but many of them didnt pay or created issues.

As time goes on only the good ones will really be there.

I could see a fly-by-night being fixed, someone trying to make some dough and then disappear, but it would be really silly for someone who wanted to run an actual business to fix the games. They're already fixed. You'll get the cash eventually. No need to destroy the player in a single night. Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered.

You could go to some other island and try for a fast win and go, but it costs a ton of money to build a site that looks good enough and operates well enough to even get peoples money. Then you need to market it. So, it would take a few months to even get your money back. Guessing wherever you set up house, red flags are going to go off with the money you are sending through the account and it will catch someones attnetion.

Like i said the WSEX.com guys are example of a site that was well run for 20+ years and when they started to crumble, the pay outs started to come much slower and I am sure a number of people got nothing before they closed the doors.

I don't mean fixed in terms of administering the site. I mean, take an example of blackjack, you lose but at least you know the cards are random live. In a virtual situation, they can certainly design that randomness out to their favor.

I always have assumed the online casino's aren't fixed to rig the hands, but they don't follow the rules. In 10 lines of code they could implement a second chance for house that would skip a bust card for the house. This would make a huge swing for the house, but would likely look random until you have played thousands of hands.

Function DrawNextCard(Return Card)
{
New Card = Card(New card(deck))
If(NextPlayer==Dealer)
{
If(Card==FaceCard())
Card = Card(New card(deck)
}
}
return Card
}

My only online gambling experience has been from poker, and I have mixed feelings on whether hands are fixed. You're playing against real people (seemingly), so there is not much incentive to rig a hand for a certain individual. In tournament play, the house collects all of their money before the tournament begins, so no additional money is won by the house by cheating. In cash games, when there is a rake involved, I have suspected big hands are given to multiple people to increase the rake for the house, but who knows. I've lost some doozies in my day, but it could just be from the ridiculous amount of hands you can play every hour. Every once in awhile you are just going to get burned, and those bad beats will happen much more frequently when you can play 100+ hands per hour.

I know what you meant. My question is why you would have to do that. Everything is in your favor already. If you start fucking with the natural odds, players will find out and you soon won't have a business. We all have computers. Anyone can run advanced analysis, do the calculus, check the metrics, and immediately recognize the bad optics of a site that is cheating. I can see a situation like bigfan pointed out where a guy was hurting and said, "Fuck it, I have to get as much as I can right now."

I would only trust a site if I was betting the same amount every time for the reasons you state here. If you have a wide variation of bets then there is definitely some fudging of the numbers that could take place. Hide an automatic loss in every 1/10,000 games for players who vary their bets and it's going to be really hard to find out but could be worth a lot of it if happens to happen at good times.

Played Carib Stud one night, pretty drunk. I think it is the only reason I played for more than $20 and I won like $1600, they sent me the money, no issues.

Figured that I would never win again and maybe played $100 worth of Blackjack over the next year

From that one time, I just can't see how they set it up for you to lose.

I think everyone has the same thought , that they are rigged against you.

I use Bovada, formerly Bodog. Never had a problem getting paid but it takes awhile.
