take a look at Morgan's size and YPC. He is a good player who has been a little snakebit in the league.
I believe Wilson is 3 inches taller and 9 years younger. We know Cutler loves him and that matters. That's why I believe the job will still be his when he comes back. I believe Morgan was just insurance.

They signed both Morgan AND Hixon so the organization was looking for something more than insurance.

Morgan is 29. He is in prime years for a WR. He is 6'1" and 220 which is bigger (while slightly less tall) than WIlson. He put up consecutive very good years in SF with 25% of his catches going for over 20 yards. He took the money and went to that mess in Washington.

Today (and yesterday) he is a better WR than Wilson. That's not true 1-2 years from now but this year he is the #3.

Do you see Wilson becoming a stud or just a guy?

Way too early in his development. He might not be anything. I think he will be excellent in 3 years.

Most upseting is that Hub is likely stroking himself to this news since he was poo pooing bears lack of depth at WR

Actually I'd say the most upsetting thing is that you are picturing Hub doing that. :P

Wilson would have been no worst than a 2nd round pick in the draft if he stayed in school. The guy needs to eat some samwiches, it's a setback, but he has tons of time and I am fine with letting a vet step in to start the season then work this kid in. Helps to bring new weapons in towards the end of the season.

With a rule like that, no one would ever catch a pass during a Bears practice.

If Cutler really loved him he wouldn't have injured him by throwing such a shitty pass.

I feel so bad for Wilson. He's a great kid who was having a good camp & I had high expectations for him. Look for Earl to rejoin the team tomorrow.

I feel for Wilson, but the real victims here are the fans, as we're now deprived of 2-3 games of what will assuredly be a record-breaking season.

I remember Weems being put in at WR for the last series in the Eagles game last year, and McCown had this "are you fucking kidding me?" look on his face.

What happened to this guy?

He should've started practicing last week.

Great question. I haven't heard anything since last week. Maybe he hasn't healed properly.

I believe the earliest he can come back is the Green Bay game.

In theory, he will stretch defenses, but in this constipated offense I can see the other receivers getting upset that they are targeted less.
