Unfortunately most of the Cubs "Snack and Cookies" will be serving coffee at Starbucks over the next few years.

Yes.

I just saw him come to the plate and thought "this guy is still on the roster?"

Still way too early to give up on him (especially when not trying to win)

He'll have a decent career as a 4thOF type

I'm ready to give up on him. Seems like another AAAA guy.

Even AAAA guys can be valuable

Angel Pagan was a lot like this for the first four years of his career

I don't think many fans are patient with development at the MLB level. It is the extraordinary player who kills it from day 1. I agree with you on both Olt and Lake.

Yeah, this generation has no patience.

Also the steroid era kinda spoiled people numbers wise

Yes,but Lake's numbers suck in any era. He's up here but Bryant is not but it makes sense because the Cubs can hold on to Bryant in the year 2018 by not bringing him up now....what total bullshit!

I like Lake. I think he can still have a very decent MLB career.

Everytime I see JR I think of this article, telling me he will be the next carlos Gomez.

That's not at all what's happening. You can just stop with that. Its not true.

No one is being held down for service time reasons.

Bryant is not being held back. He's been in the minors for 1 year.

Call them up when they're ready.

Isn't it pretty clear that Bryant, for the most part, is ready now?

He had some struggles in AAA recently.

But one full year in the minors is not unreasonable.

Also, the arbitration clock has been moot since the end of April

Would it be a cheap, high quality shersey?
