This isn't a cookie move, but more like a chocolate chip. The next cookie will be Soler and/or Bryant in September.

When he hits a bloop into left for a single will it be known as a Soler flare?
I hate myself right now

Missed the opportunity to trade him like they're doing now with Coughlin.

Nate did the job the Cubs needed him today -- help them lose.

Someone else will need to be on the chopping block, too because Turner has to be added to the 25 man roster. He is out of options.

I'm confident they can find somebody on the 25-man that is nonessential.

Nate had his HR's last year, maybe he used THE STUFF, but he is a terrible OFer. Even on easy plays he looked terrible. Never got set, as if he was always readjusting as the ball was coming in and could never judge the ball. Not good for an OF~!

unlike Sweeney and Coghlin,Schierholtz has remained in a season long funk. I do believe he was allowed to play to help the Cubs lose.

They wanted him to get hot so they could flip him and the sorry ass couldn't even get his BA over .200.

They are not going to trade Coughlin. He will be a bench guy at the least.
