Brother Briar was one of the fiercest hillbillies what ever graced the streets of Uptown.

I maintain that Love Actually would have been improved exponentially if Liam Neeson had simply killed everyone in it.

At least that is rooted in fact. There were hillbilly enclaves in Uptown and Rogers Park in the 70's and 80's. John's Junction on Glenwood by No Exit was a hillbilly hangout I believe.

I actually like the guy, I'm just surprised he's doing Taken 3 after publicly questioning the quality of Taken 2 even before the movie went into production. He knew how bad it could, and did, get. He has to make something like 20 million for this next one, right? That's the only way I could see him justify doing another.

Oh, no doubt. When I was a kid Uptown was full of Appalachian refugees and Indians. The Wooden Nickel on Wilson was also a good place to meet hillbillies. Helen Shiller kept shit correct. Now you have this gay Cappelman trying to turn Uptown into Boystown North by running out the homeless and the pigeons. The shame.

Shit. I thought he was making Breakin' 3. Lot of loose ends to be tied up.

He said he would only do another one if no one was taken.

Yeah, The Wooden Nickel was an anamoly on Wilson well into the late 90's. Gangbangers, Truman College, and a hick dive. Carol's on Clark was also originally a Country bar before it became an ironic Country bar.

spmack had an incident on a rooftop that had the least satisfying ending ever.

I thought that movie was great, especially the soundtrack.

Actually Rick, it was Nicolas Cage (née Coppola) who starred in the two "National Treasure" major motion pictures, with a third installment due out in 2016.

I thought it was incredibly unrealistic, but I thought it was a good cliffhanger ending. IMO, the movie wasn't about the wolves all along. It was a metaphor for life in general. Some people over come and keep on going, or at least fight until the bitter end. Some people make stupid choices and have to live (or die) with the consequences.

If you can play Joe Buck, Oscar Schindler's a cake walk.

I didnt really watch it.

I wasnt totally interested but I thought the fight scenes looked cool in the trailers so I FF'd to the action scenes.

Just couldnt believe how they built up that last fight in the commercial to leave it like that.

Seemed like a good movie though

If you go into it taking the ending not at a literal "man vs wolf fight" its pretty good. You would at the very least be entertained by it, RPB. Give it another spin.

He could do the "what I do have is a particular set of skills" line and then bust into a pop-and-lock routine.

Yeah I really enjoyed that movie but that scene was what got my ass into the seat in the first place, so for the movie to end like that was a real letdown.

But yeah, this guy is the best ever.
