You're missing the two best Petty songs- "American Girl" and "Southern Accent".

Refugee is in the team photo, but I think Don't Do Me Like That is Petty's best.

How could you not like green mind! There is no excuse. Then again I think I like everything SST at the time. Best label ever. Green mind was warner I think but still. Does anyone remember when Lousaid he wanted to kill J?

Pearl Jam - I hated them but they're grown on me. Their Unplugged show is awesome.

Slipknot - I use to hate these guys so much back in high school but I've grown to accept them because they seem to be a pretty good gateway band into metal for the youngins. Alot of their songs have great energy and are quite enjoyable even if the guitar work is bland as fuck.

Yeah growing up old school metal and underground punk I hated them. Slipknot. They were put together by a record company stole mushroom heads act and boom. They actually aren't bad. Nothing great but in the "Nu" genre pretty good. They do their thing well. Jim Root is ok nothing amazing. Taylor has pipes though.

I think my all time most hated Nu band was Godsmack. Simply because they wouldn't admit they ripped of AIC. Guys you did. It is ok you did a good job of it. Kinda like Kobe just admit you ripped of Jordan. It isn't shameful.

Frusciante is hands down my favorite guitarist ever. I'm not even a big RHCP fan. Mars never caught me though and john loved them and played on tracks. At the drive in was way better IMHO. Where you a Sparta fan at all?

Man I loved full moon fever. I remember getting that in the mail from Columbia house. That being said no one has mentioned "Don't come around here no more".

Petty might actually qualify for me as the opposite of this list. I came to like him less and less. Put Bruce on that list too. Born in the USA was my first album, still have it, but I in no way really get Bruce. Born to Run? Hell yeah. Majority of his work I don't relate too though

Now oddly enough I loathed Dylan. While he isn't a top guy for me I still love some of his stuff now. If you haven't heard Bear Mountain Picnic Massacre ( goofy song) or Where Are You Tonight (amazing musically and lyrically) go do it.

Kanye West.

Kill me for it. There is no good reason to like him. Horrible human. Hated him. Then I listened to My Dark Twisted Fantasy. Production was amazing and he kept telling me he was an asshole some really good cameos by Jay-z, Rick Ross and Nikki Manaj. The Elton John cameo was good too. Kid Cudi wasn't featured highly but it got me into him. Check out Maniac shot by Shia Lebouf.

I remember Krokus playing when I was in high school and one of the radio stations- either the Loop or WMET- had a promotion called "The Krokus Whack-Off". I'm not sure what it entailed but I think the winner may have gotten backstage passes or something.

I've never been awestruck by his production. I mean, it's definitely not terrible, but I wouldn't call it the best. The one album of his I did really like is the one no one else likes.

I didn't like "The Suburbs" by Arcade Fire and eventually grew to see the err in my ways. I am still not
liking "Reflektor" as much but there are a handful of songs I dig on there.

I jumped on the hate Vampire Weekend bandwagon initially but actually enjoy all of their work to date, although I
don't own any of their music personally.

For me, at the time, J's voice was a dealbreaker. I was only 17 when Green Mind came out.
I've obviously changed my mind, as I have all the Dino records, J's solo stuff and I've seen him at least 5 times.

Lou was a whinny bitch. Their best song was covering the kids in the hall theme.

I loved "Where You Been?" No green mind but damn solid. J Solo wasn't bad, kinda like frank black solo. It was aight.

Green Mind is an all-timer, but I'm not sure "Freak Scene" isn't their best song. I come from a scene where long solos were generally sneered at, but J is like Jack White in that neither of them is capable of playing a boring guitar solo.

JORR fairly good call. The solos aren't great but the songs are. The antithesis of say Steve Vai for the love of god which is a great solo and terrible song.

No love for Mary Jane's Last Dance?

I learned a new respect for Marilyn Manson after seeing him live at Ozzfest 2003.

Apropos of nothing, Steve Vai's brother owns a restaurant in downtown Glen Ellyn.
