Saw an interview last night while the looting was going on, with a local reverend who was trying to tell the reporter it was a peace march. The reporter turns the camera to the people looting the JC Wireless store about 100 feet from them and the Reverend says, it 'Yes, it is a peace march"

Wonder if the community is going to give up the names of all the people that destroyed the peoples lives when they destroyed their businesses? because the guy at the Wireless store had nothign to do with this.

Let me add the story on both sides of this story are shaky. The cops story v the alleged witnesses stories are so different and both provide no grey area.

Unfortunately rioting is the only way that actually brings attention to certain situations. Police murdering people is a daily occurrence across the country.
Just recently in NY some cop was cleared of any wrong doing when he attempted to arrest a woman for breastfeeding her baby at a bus stop. The woman ignored him and attempted to board the bus. The cop grabbed her causing her to drop the baby on its head killing it. The cop still took the mother into custody.
I dont agree with rioting/looting peoples businesses but something jas to be done where police have to seriously consider the possible consiquenses of their actions. The law has to start making them accountable when they act wrecklessly

That story was a hoax.

It all comes down to the fact that the value of a black male life is a few notches below a goldfish. It was only 50 years ago that images on the evening news helped change the minds and hearts of many people. Not even YouTube videos of these abuses of power and disregard of human life gets many to pause or demand changes. Many believe that blacks are animals that can't be reasoned with. Many of the people who believe that happen to be black.

There is no excuse for executing an unarmed person who has their hands up. All we get is a yawn and talk about stupid people rioting and looting businesses who are insured and weren't responsible for anything. Just another day in the life of the forgotten.

When I was in Ireland I didn't even realize the cops didn't carry guns.

Our cab driver mentioned it and said that it also leads to a lot of problems but I honestly didn't feel less safe without an armed police force. It sounds like there is an on call armed police force that doesn't actively enforce day to day laws for issues that require guns.

I wonder if that would cut down on incidents like this or if it would result in more dead police officers?

Different laws. Having a gun isn't the problem. The value placed on a life is. It should take an awful lot for an officer to beat of kill someone. Their life being in danger would be one. Being upset isn't one.

There is some scumbag Chicago cop who actually planted drugs on some bitch n tried to have her framed ...a Judge just ruled that a firing was "too severe" and he can't be fired....the City pays out tens of millions in settlements for these pieces of shit abusing the law...they don't lose their pensions or even their fucking jobs...
