From childhood, but Jumanji, Patch Adams, Hook, Doubtfire, Jack. Loved all of those.

You get jewmanji ....the rest are just bad

Corny. No wonder you love it.

Willing to bet you've seen it more than once.

He was really funny. He was a joke thief, which is par for the course in that career. Hands down though my favorite role of his was Dead Again. He played it well. He was also pretty good in insomnia although the film had faults and might be the least regarded Nolan film. Mork though was his classic role.

I didn't think he was that funny. When he appeared on Late night shows (Which is all I knew of him as far as comedy), in his older years, he always tried to play a goof. Just winging stuff. I never laughed. Reminded me of a drunk Uncle when I was a kid.

Maybe his stand up was good for the times in the 70s and 80s but I've never seen any of it.

Good in "Good Will Hunting". But, to be honest, the writing for his character made the performance. I would suggest that many actors could have played the role better.

Still, sad. Has the money and comfort of an easy life. Says a lot about depression.

No fixation. Just bringing up the point that money means comfort. And Williams still committed suicide despite having comfort in that area.

I've read studies that show an inversely proportional relationship between money and happiness. Cory would know.

Sad, but not surprising. He, like many comics, was a troubled soul.

A friend of mine had his first comedy album, Reality, what a concept. I only knew of him as Mork. I couldn't believe Mork was talking like that. Talented dude.

He was broke and not really working. He was on his 3rd failed marriage and totally busted.

I know he's washed up now as far as acting/comedy. This "Net worth" site says he's worth 50 million.

Yes. Comedians also tend to have high rates of depression. The incessant need to make others laugh is sometimes a symptom.

I think that's what people always say. Bet you the percentage of comedians with depression is no different than the general public's percentage.

I feel sorry for his family, but Robin Williams is overrated. Clap-clap-clappety-clap.

Being hyper on stage doesn't make one funny. Having good material does.

anyone in the entertainment business shares the narcissism complex and the desire to please everybody because they're so insecure about themselves. that's not just "what people say", it's pretty self evident if you read about their personal lives.
