I have always been a "happy" guy who loves to crack jokes (no wiseass comments about my performance on here!) and make people laugh. I had a happy childhood with a lot of friends. So I'm sure there are a lot of funny people out there who just enjoy a good laugh,too. Let's not lump all comics in the same way,not that anybody was btw.

man i hate jim norton when i hear him on o&a (although i loath that show anyway) but that is a spot on and very moving piece.

I wouldn't listen to O&A if you paid me, but as far as Jimmy Norton goes, to quote Jabba, he's "my kind of scum".

he just seems to play to the lowest common denominator on that show and his voice aggravates the hell out of me; but o&a have a way of bringing out the worst in everything. the thing i hate about them most though is that they usually have interesting topics.

and one more rant...i absolutely can't stand cumia. he's so accented and full of affectation it's like he's efforting every syllable to sound cool. it's basically like a performance to show nonchalance except it smacks of effort.

I have no idea who you're talking about, perhaps lending credence to my never listening to O&A statement.

Give Jim's standups a try ... unless you're not into (what's apparently called) 'cringe comedy' ... Norton, Patrice O'Neal (RIP), Giraldo (RIP) ... basically the Tough Crowd folks and their ilk.

i don't know if i ever find something appealing in a label for anything stand up comedy related (i.e. "cringe", "observational", "impersonationist", "anti-humor") but if it makes me laugh i'll like it...

Another example as well of how men get the fucking shaft in divorce settlements. There is no fucking reason either of his first two wives were entitled to tens of millions of dollars. HE was the sole reason for that kind of money to be earned. It was his talent , no way that money should be split equally.
