That's a better option than sending in the military.

You seem to forget that the events of the past five days or so began with a cop shooting an 18 year old, allegedly in the back. You have any thoughts about that? There were no protests or riots before the guy was gunned down.

Looting last night.
Residents then stood in front of stores to prevent further destruction of their community.
A guy who played hockey with Darren in high school said that he would be the last person in the world to execute an unarmed person.

I am not fogetting it, not excusing it, the cop should be arrested, processed and given due process, just like anyone else in this country would get.

It's terrible , it's wrong, but it even gets worse and dumber when some feel that it is now their right to destroy and loot, after a tragedy, and somehow that gets defended, because of someone elses death.

Who's defending the looters?

Here's a good article about people changing the subject:

No one is defending looters. Not one person. Straw man.

Ferguson wanted to release the video on Thursday. The DOJ told them it was a terrible idea and would likely increase tension. Ferguson waited a day and apparently lied about a FOI request. No one even knew a video existed.

People in this thread have supported killing cops in these "protests".

Spanky that's entirely different from someone saying looting is a good thing or offering words of encouragement for people who are only looking to cause problems. I haven't seen any posts here supporting behavior like that or from the media. Even Al Sharpton was against it.

Right. It's worse. Like 10 levels worse.

The only "people" advocating killing cops is 312player. Let's not pretend others are actually on that bandwagon.

He deserves his own wing of the bad CSFMB poster hall of fame.

Yeah I have said I am in favor of someone killing these cops if they keep waging war on the citizens of Ferguson. I have no idea how you connected that to defending looters.

Can you point me to the mainstream articles or posts on this board where someone has come out in favor of looting and trouble makers?

I really wouldn't care at all if a few of these Ferguson cops got killed. Seriously, is there one good cop in the whole town?

There's all sorts of people defending the troublemakers here. Spanky, bigfan, and Steve off the top of my head.

It's usually bad for their careers. Almost similar to what happens to a gang member that rats out another member.

It definitely takes a lot of balls to be a whistleblower in these kinds of situations. Just one more reason Edward Snowden is a true hero.

Question for you:

If someone shot and killed Darren Wilson right now, would you think of that person better, worse, or the same as you currently think of Darren Wilson?

While I am NOT in favor of killing cops, the thought that their safety is the single most important thing, to the point that they can use "tanks", spray tear gas and rubber bullets into peaceful protests, and ignore any potential medical aid to a young kid that THEY shot is a problem. Cops signed up for the jobs they have and everything the job entails. Their safety is not more important than freedom.
