Hey MJH,
Do you realize that you are doing your show in Chicago and not Appleton, WI. I heard that you are thinking about having Favre on the show and I wanted to voice my displeasure. If I want to hear Favre, I will tune into WTMJ. It is bad enough that we are going to have to listen to Madden on Sunday night. I have been a long time listener, and with the recent rash of bad athlete interviews must we have another bad interview?

I have to say as a Bears fan that if you have Favre on, we need to boycott the show for the day. Do I hear a second?

No.

As a football fan, I want to hear what they'll ask him and how he responds.

I don't need to boycott it. I just don't see how it will be that interesting. He is not going to say too much to a Chicago Station. Three things will happen: 1. He won't answer anything about retirement (not that I want to hear about it either) 2. He will say he is excited about the packers start, but that they have a long way to go. 3. He will say the the bears will turn it around and that is why they can't take them lightly because its a long year.

Sounds boring to me.

I bet themoosman is a big fan of Stalin-era Pravda, too.

Yeah , we don't want to hear from a 3 time MVP with a Superbowl ring and the NFL record for touchdowns ..

Just re-rack the Pep Hamilton and Derek Lee interviews Mac.

They had Brett on about 4 years ago and he was on for about 10 minutes and he had a lot to say and it was one of the better interviews I've heard on the show over the years.

Mac , Brett Favre's on the phone... Tell him to call back later ...Some of the guys from the message board don't want to hear from him..

Douchebags.

Stu,
I'd rather hear from a Brian Griese about his thoughts on Grossman, why the offense sucks, and does he think he will do a better job than Grossman.

Heard it , seen it a all over the news on Sunday night Joe.. Griese was asked those questions and you got the cookie cutter responses.

You have an oppurtunity to bring on the best QB to ever throw a football and you guys expect them to take a pass on an interview with Brett? He has a history with Jurko and it's not everyday you can pull up a chair with Romo and Farve and I think Jurko being an ex-teammate of BRETT'S and an alum of Eastern with Romo has given the show a great boost.

I forgot about that Stu. Alright you win. I guess with Jurko maybe Favre would be a little more open.

Good point, excellent post!

Impossible! Athletes never have anything to say. They never answer the questions you ask them. Farve is the perfect example. Ask him when he is going to retire and see if he is going to answer the question. Nope, he will skirt the question.

Sorry Moosman, I wouldn't mind hearing from Brett.

Yeah , the best basketball player that ever lived couldn't figurte it out either. He went and played baseball after he spent all that time with his family and chasing every shaved beaver he came across.

Brett does not owe anyone any explantion on what he does. He lost his dad, brother in law, his Mother was almost killed during Katrina and his wife fought breast cancer. I think the guy gets a pass on when are where he calls it quits.

Having said that I'll still tune in to the interview and you guys can turn on 780 am and catch the traffic and weather on the 8's.

They are having Joe Montana and Brett Favre on? Sweet.

For what it's worth I think it'd be a good interview too. I'd rather hear from him than any of the shitty players or bad interviewees on the Bears.

Maybe Brett can tell Harry effective ways to rub his cubbie chubbie.

Who cares :?: Favre can kiss my ass.

They better not ask him if he's going to retire.

They should, however, ask him what he thinks about John Madden having a man-crush on him, and if Madden is staying at his house this week. :P

Better yet, have Sunday Night John on the other line and start making Brett feel a little uncomfortable with asking Brett if he could sleep in the same bed with him and Dianna ..Now that would be great radio..

I'd rather hear from either about, the O-Line, the running game, the play-calling, why certain TEs haven't been put in. I'd even be interested in receivers who don't catch balls (bad route; bad timing, no effort?)

Well, an interview congratulating Favre on his thus-far good year is just good sportsmanship. While I don't always know who else plays for Packers, Favre's always been there. And if he wants to suck this coming game, that'd be alright with me... I suspect we'll need the help.

Wait that's an idea. Get Monday Night John to do the interview. Then do a parody song.

If Columbia can invite the president of Iran to speak certianly MJH can have Favre.

Monday Night John calling in with a phony question is a great idea.

As long as they stop saying Griesman and Grosse EVERY F&%#ING TIME THEY REFERENCE THE BEARS QUARTERBACK. It was only marginally clever the first time & needs to be filed away with the interview with a dog.

But Mac, feel free to do more of the Dan Dierdorf voice. I don't know why, but I laugh just thinking about it.

By extension, Stu calling in for Favre's help picking college games would work too. Grid also could call... just to tell him "Blow me!"

Ask Favre if the turn around in his game since December last year can be attributed to his going back on the crack (pills, painkillers, whatever drugs Favre likes).

I think Dan Dierdorf would get more of the credit for it
