I thought last night was the best episode of the series thus far. Strange how when they focus on people
that are not the main characters like the priest for example, the episodes are the better for it.

Really good episode. I would think anyone still in would really like it. Interesting twist with Gladys. GR's gonna do some outrageous shit with all those Departure Dolls or whatever. Patti was pretty fucking annoying there at the end, kind made the end better.

Good episode. Interesting to see more backstory and the way Lori and Kevin told the kid to deal with his biological father. Certainly explains their reactions to the departure.

I got 30 mins in and had to pause but was already probably the most interesting episode for me.

It's not the most exciting show, and it's got some strange subplots, but the writing of the characters and acting is really good. I'm not really watching much else right now so this is keeping my attention. It's a nice bridge to the last season of Boardwalk.

Good performances. Good scenes. Bad show. Terrible complete storyline.

You've been warned. Be ready to jump ship when things really start to go downhill when they have to start keeping the story consistent even with all the "twists".

I found last night's episode to be the one I enjoyed the most so far. I was engaged throughout and it didn't make me want to immediately slit my wrists when it was over as some other episodes have.

Still delivered the gut-punch though.

No episode next week due to Labor Day. Finale in 2 weeks.

I don't feel like there have been that many "twists". The ones that have been, like last night, were foreshadowed pretty heavily. I haven't seen any revelation that really came out of left-field yet.

OK. I've seen some theories on the blackouts that could make some sense.

The voices thing, I don't know. But, they could be actual voices they are hearing. The whole show is based on an incredible event that it doesn't sound like they have any interest in answering why it happened.

So, I think if you're buying in, you just assume some things are happening and probably plan not to hear the "whys". I think the show is more about how the people are reacting to the mysteries than the mysteries themselves.

I don't call those "twists" though. A twist, to me, would be to find out that Jill is really Nora and Kevin's kid and they forgot about it or something.

Very good backflash episode. Answered a few questions I had wondered about, mostly what his
relationship was like with his wife. It was cool seeing what all of the main characters were doing
when the dissapearance happened. I was a bit surprised that there will be a season 2 as I thought
for sure this was going to be a stand alone one season show but I am definitely ok with it coming
back after the last episode and the one focused on Nora.

Nora snapping at her kid and making her cry was fucking gut wrenching

The lesson there is clear: Dont ever be mean to anyone, because what if they vanish?

BTW: I think they went a little overboard on the happy daughter thing in the flashback. She was like psychotically happy.

When she looked up after the phone died you could totally tell she was wishing for them to go away...

She even admitted as much to the council women turned mayor, something along the lines of "For the next 3 months my family won't exist...."

Yeah and the husband too. I like how she busts his balls because he didnt ask about her interview in the 30 seconds he was quietly creeping up the stairs to say goodnight to the daughter. Kinda bitchy.

That's true. You're actually probably understating it too. She even was giggling when her brother said he thinks the dad is gonna split.
