That is the sound of my radio being turned off. Why? Larry is in again.

If you like Larry, I am sure he will entertain and inform you of his exploits with women, how he single handily willed the Chicago home team in the Little League World Series, and a constant stream of "That's right Dan."

If you enjoy smug and trolling, this show is for you.

Not for me.

Which type of blind agreement with bernstein do you find most palatable?

Larry: That's right, dan!

Terry: Uh, eh, eh, yeah, that sounds about right.

drinky: dan, dan, dan, dan, you heard what the caller said, dan.

It was apparently the biggest uproar that Rozner had ever heard.

This isn't even fun to mock anymore it is so over the top.

No show can be much worse, with our without Holmes, than yesterday's, where they spent most of the show over-reacting to a pre-season game. I thought this was the smart station?

Had the show on for a few minutes yesterday in the car and heard Larry talk about the Bears' geamplan.

This speech flaw of his is so glaring to me now because of this message board. Thanks redskingreg. Oh I mean TheWashingtonTeamgreg.

Trained reporters could have prevented that USC story from getting out incorrectly.

I'm pretty sure I heard the story from trained reporters. I don't regularly read the USC Athletic Department website.

Existing season ticket holders are dumb for not renewing their tickets?

Not everyone is investment banker that can eat losses for two years. Jesus WTF.

plus I thought actually going to games was a waste of money? Can't even see the heat maps or outfielder route-running with an accompanying device.

you know who doesn't view their season tickets as an investment? Rich People.

Us poor season ticket holders had a hard choice of hanging on and doing without other things. Because ultimately, we may have got in as fans, but in order to stay we had to become...investors.

No shit. It's not like they were making anything close to their money back over the last two seasons. TICKETS. ARE. TWO. DOLLARS. ON. STUB. HUB. IDIOTS.

didn't Joe say the trade was poorly timed? And I didn't like the trade initially, because I would never deal with Billy Beane.

Anyone who buys Cubs season tickets as an "investment" is in for a rude awakening when the Cubs raise the prices to make it a terrible investment.

See Yankees or Red Sox for the future of that.

I'm guessing that they probably increased prices to the point on the face that the secondary market price point would be such that there's little profit in it.

when that happens, to the point that it destroys the secondary market, I'm out. I'm just trying to break even best case scenario, as discussed before.

It could happen, but if I were Theo I would wait till 2016 to do that.

I was neither in town nor did I mock the trade when I got back. It seemed like a haul from the beginning.

I'm sure they're sold out.

But, if you think of these as an "investment" where the tix you sell will subsidize your playoff tickets and pay for themselves, etc., you'll get kind of screwed if they jack the face price up to the point that exceeds any real market for profit. Then you're just trading dollars and still paying your own way. You just guarantee access, not profit. Not really an investment, then, more of an annual fee for ticket rights/break-even at best.

I have one group of Bears season tickets that are great seats with stadium club access. I have another that are endzone with good views. I cannot get much above face for the great seats. I regularly sell the lesser seats for 2-3x face.
