He really is. He's the kind of guy you'd hate to do business with. It helps to have people who can help you out in a jam as long as you return the favor. I can just see him when someone tries to collect on their favor...

Shades of the Dave McGinnis debacle mirrored and in reverse. My people tell me that the Score offered $14.50 an hour, which Goff was cool with, but that the sticking point is dental insurance. Goff is holding out for free teef whitening. Very important for a sinking, middle-aged media star these days.

Made up conversation, but I'll bet it's not too far off.

Zimmerman: We want to hire back a guy that Atlanta CBS fired. He was a producer/fill in host here before he went to Atlanta.

CBS Corporate: A fuckin producer? My records show you've grossed more money since he left? Why do we need to hire this one back?

Zimmerman: Well, everybody here likes him.

CBS Corporate: Fuck that. He's been fired in Atlanta. You're more profibable there since he left. He was a fuckin' producer. I'm sure you have other dumb asses to fill the garbage talk show shifts. On the cheap, no less. Fuck, no. We're not hiring him back.

Zimmerman: I agree. We have plenty of dumb asses on the cheap. My GM just asked me to make a call. I really don't give a shit.

CBS Corporate: Who, dumb ass Mitch?

Zimmerman: Yeah.

CBS Corporate:

Zimmerman:

Why did he get sent to Atlanta in the first place?

Easy with the middle-age stuff. He has no future, true, but he's not drinky. I think Goff is still in his low 30s.

CBS wanted to start an "urban sports talk" station there. It took over an adult alternative station, so it's possible that brothers never found it.

Part of the reason. But the main reason was the Chicago Cracker...

I don't have his DOB but assuming that he was 23 when he started at the Score in 2000, he would be 37 now. The avg. life expectancy for a Belizean male born in 1980 is 69.5 years. Sadly, he's in the August of his life.

Middle-aged is generally defined as 40 - 60, Danny. I'm trying to push it as far away from my age as I can. Don't depress me.

Belizean-American. That means more McDonald's than Coconuts.

That was actually a healthy tree before the Penn St scandal.

Was it, though? Count Fagula has bounced around middle management, Leery lost his midday show, and J. Hood has repeatedly shot his career in the foot. I don't think the Bernstein Tree has ever been healthy.

No, I was literally referring to the tree in that picture. It died after listening to Dan talk about child rape.
