Sarley being negative about him makes me feel pretty good about his future.

Soler has been more of a slow build with Cubs fans. I don't know nearly as much about him.

What I do know is that he has been a Mr. Glass in his limited cub career

Change the batteries in your sarcasm detector, RFDC. I think you are running low.
Actually, I saw Soler play at Kane County a number of times and have said that he's the best Cub prospect I've seen in ages.
He is a tremendous fielder. His spectacular catches are very limited because he gets a great jump on the ball and usually doesn't have to leap or dive to make a play.
His power is awesome. He has an excellent eye and only swings at strikes and doesn't get fooled often. When he gets two strikes on him, he moves up on the bat, shortens his swing and tries to make contact.
I cannot remember the last time I saw a young Cub with an approach at the plate like Soler has.

viewtopic.php?f=32&t=73004&hilit=Soler

I said the same thing last year.

he has had some maturity problems but the way he carries himself reminds me of Abreu. He looks and acts like he has all the tools. I would love to see him in right field. Maybe Hahn can trade him for Viciedo...

Yeah, good afternoon. You know, I just wanted to say that this Soler kid coming up, is really a good thing for the Cubs. We've got Rizzo, and Castro who have been here playing baseball, we've had Alcantra, Baez, and now Soler who will be up here playing baseball, so its really good to see some of Theo's guys coming up here to play. And we hope they can play well!

Also, if the light ever go out at Wrigley, it won't be a problem because the Cubs can just use Soler power!
