It's one thing to say happy birthday to a sports radio personality. It's quite another to pretend that same person is your best friend.

Well he's out golfing with the guy on his birthday. You generally do that with people who aren't your friends?

Who paid for the round?

First, who cares? Steve's past comments warrant a response at the poster every time he posts.

Second, he's not just saying they played golf. He's bragging about it for attention like a little kid and then embarrassing himself by going on about how great Mac looks and how well he played. Who the fuck does that? I'm completely embarrassed for him.

I'd say golfing with Elmhurst Steve on your birthday is "rock bottom". Don't worry Mac. Better days are ahead.

The original post seems completely hetero. I don't see a problem.

Happy Birthday, Dan

You must not have gotten the memo. Badrogue is the moral arbiter around here. He will tell you if your posts are acceptable, or not.

I certainly don't have any problems telling you when you're a fucking asswipe that's true.

We know. For some reason, you think posters here care what you think about them.

By the way, your premise was completely false. The responses in this thread were about Steve's school girl like crush on Mac. They were in fact, in response to the posts.

By calling me an asswipe, you have just responded to the poster, and not the post. Who the fuck are you crapping?

The real question is, do you see the error of your way, or do you double down on stupid? I know where my money is.

I notice Steve said nothing about his own scores. My guess is it was 112, but when he added it up he came up with 93.

88 at Woodbine is not a bad score. There are some doglegs on the front, and some longer par 4s on the back.

I don't care if you think I'm an asswipe, which is why I continue to display the behavior you, and some others, find so objectionable. Your thoughts go in the circular file, not the suggestion box. Do you understand that, or should I simplify it even more?

By the way, wasn't it wrong when I told a certain poster that he was an asswipe? But, it's okay for you to do it? Who the fuck are you crapping?

Cool , we agree that you're an asswipe . Glad we could come to an accord. This day won't be a total waste then.

Oh, I think a few of the know nothings would respond with a similar response.

I am with BR on this. Frankly, I thought it was cool that Steve is that close to Mac. I don't care for most of Steve's posts, but there was no reason to criticize this. I see a lot of bragging on these boards, and I am as guilty as anyone in that regard.

Steve isn't friends with Mac, and this golf outing probably didn't even happen.

He is getting treated as he deserves to be treated.

If he has a problem with it, he could try to not do what he does.

If that's how it's going to be then,

Happy birthday to Vin Diesel. He bowled an 800 series, and we threw back gallons of micro brew and nailed every chick in the bowling area bar. He turned 35, and we partied like rock starts all night. Did I mention that Mark Grace and Andre Dawson showed up?

Why? Steve has given many people an active reason to dislike him. Why does that go away because he made a post that happened to not be offensive?

Why don't we all post anonymously then? That way you can only respond to posts.

there is no doubt steve can not post without people shitting on him, however he has made his own bed.

To his defense and its the same defense I say for most cops, I understand how they become very jaded while working on the force, always on guard ready to act. That does not excuse the many violent acts of aggression they committ, that are excessive, but these guys are a product of the environment they live in.

1. To the original post....Button 48 (if it still works)

2. Happy Birthday, Mackeyfish McGolfboy! Livin' "The Life" 8)

3. Steve can say some "old timey, get off my lawn you hoodlum" type stuff sometimes, but he pretty much knows his stuff....and from what I gather, he's a movie star now, so give him his well deserved respect.

4. A good friend of mine was in Scream, so that makes me pretty important, right?
