It is depressing that I'm not even confident they beat that horrible team.

I'm excited if only because this will be the start of Beckman's last season in Champaign. Also, Wes Lunt!

BTW, PJ Fleck is an assclown and should never have been giving a D1 coaching job. He turned a decent MAC program into a dumpster fire in one season. No chance they beat Purdue. In fact, PU will likely be a favorite in 3 of their first 4 games. Not a Hazell fan but how can it get any worse than last year?

Wait for Oregon vs. Michigan State (at Oregon, Sept 6). That's damn big. I fully expect the Ducks to win, but regardless it's a GREAT matchup for the early part of the season.

Look at how the Ducks played against teams similar to MSU last year, like Stanford.

Starts tonight! Very exciting.

The only problem is the only good game is on the SEC network, which I don't believe I get.

Nothing happened. I'm still on board. I'm gonna miss Petersen though. Maybe they will hire Shea as a coach? I will drive him to Boise.

I fully expect Illinois to lose to Youngstown State. For whatever reason, Illinois just does not like to play defense.

BC, take a couple deep breaths and stare at your avatar for a few minutes. Things are going to be alright.

They'll win this one. I have a metaphysical connection to Illini football. I believe I correctly predicted not only the outcome, but the actual scoring trends of multiple games last year to the $$ rewards of those who listened.

Illinois goes up big early 14-0 or so, gives up something cheap to go 14-7, run it up to 20-7, until this thing settles at 38-17 Illini.

I didn't have an opportunity to post them so I don't have it in the wagering record but went 3-0 last night on ULM, TAM OVER and Temple.

I am going to fade Wake Forest in every game until that freshman proves me wrong. It wasn't a matter of an outstanding defense that shut them down last night.

Temple's young head coach is doing a nice job. They actually played well when we saw them in the 2013 ND home opener.

Vandy is a disappointment. Let's hope it was just 1st game badness.

Rutgers goes to the west coast and trips up WSU. Good for the honor of the Big Ten.

Random picks: I'm taking Clemson over Georgia. Alabama over West Virginia. LSU over Wisky.

Penn State v. Central Florida in Ireland for some reason. I didn't make the trip.

This Wisconsin/LSU game is following the B1G/SEC game script to a tee.

The B1G team will hang with the SEC team for a half, maybe three quarters and then the SEC team will blow them away.

I just wish the first quarter didn't take 65 minutes. This game will not be done before 1 am EST. C'mon! some of us have been up since the wee hours of the morning to watch the Croke Park Classic!

Iowa State lost to North Dakota State yesterday...at home...badly...in a game for which they had to pay the Bison 350k to appear.

This is how coach Rhoads was acting when they were up by 7...

...I don't think I want to see what he was doing after the game was over.

I plan on getting back into college football this year after a few years of not following very closely. I will have many dumb questions. Please bear with me. Thanks.

Best game of the weekend was Georgia Southern at North Carolina State.

GSU held a lead almost the entire game, only to get nipped by the Wolfpack at the end for a 1-point loss. A shame they couldn't pull it off.
