this past friday he was talking about all the things he was going to do this weekend. it sounds like he is in a home/institution of sorts. if he's younger than 65, chances are good that he has some mental health issues. when he was like, they are going to show us all a movie, and then we get to eat dinner, and then they'll bus us around or some crap, both dan and terry seemed to be like, "well ok lets get this call done with"

I agree and furthermore they are laughing at him, not with him.Bernsie always has to be "the smartest guy in the room anyway".

I think Dan's going to turn on this segment fairly soon. They're trying to get him off the air every time now...

Because they don't do that with any other fan of the show (though Maddux Boy would cream himself if they did). There's quite obviously a reason they do it with Bob, and it's not because he's a sports expert. It's sick, and if any of these old, unstable guys they make fun of were my dad, Bernstein would have good reason to call the FBI.

Brandenmeir had this guy on today who was "Doc" Mike. Guy was obviously a quack, obviously had some mental issues and the guys at the Game had the dude on for half an hour taking calls from people who were making fun of him. I say this because it's not like B&B are the only guys doing it. Or the only guys in sports radio doing it.

the brandmeirer thing just sounds like a bit, with the "quack" being an actor.... kinda like how mancow used to have someone with a terrible opinion on soemthing tyhat was sure to piss off comon meatball types.... that actor would stay on the line for his entire 2 hour show with mancow checking in every 15 minutes with a caller to berate the fake person....

anyways, bob has had real trouble the last couple of weeks formulating his thoughts and the rambling has been a tough listen. i'd be fine if instead of asking him about movies they just listened to him ask about the local team's issues, Bob seems to be able to ask relevant sports questions with ease whereas asking him to recall movie details is not his strong point given whatever condition he has

But again, what's the point of that if not to make fun of him? Why Bob instead of any other random caller to the show? Unless Bob has some unique knowledge of sports or movies, the intent is clear.

I don't think it was a bit .... the guy was throwing out his website and other crap at the end.

And I didn't get the impression the guy was in any way like Bob .... being 'special' like Bob means you might, say, eschew modern society by watching old films and not quite getting how old they are, as opposed to Doc Mike (was that his name?) portraying himself as a doctor until actually asked what he's a doctor of, half-ass backtracking and trying to move the goalposts, and blaming rampant homosexuality on sugar, McDonald's, and some secret government study from the 1930s.

So I don't quite get the comparison here in the least .... Bob's special, this guy was a demonstrated fuckwit and a bigot whose service in Vietnam may or may not have accentuated those traits that were already there to begin with.

Starting today I am going to work to put an end to Bernstein mocking this addled old man. I'm done. It's cruel, and listening to this asshole smarmily giggle as Bob wanders through thoughts makes me ill.

I'm going through the state's Elder Abuse department - I'm going above the PD and his boss - I'm alerting media. I'm serious, this is sick and I feel awful for consuming a show that CONTINUES, in 2014, to mock an altered old man.

I'm not joking, this is just gross. Why in the hell it's on me to do something, I don't know, but I can't handle it anymore. Brutal.

For Bob, and Mike for that matter, it's too bad that Bernstein's wife did not get into senior care or advocacy (and not weddings, same sex and traditional) ... Lord knows how that hypocrite will suddenly shift gears based on how it can impact he and his wife's checking account.
