Theo Epstein was apparently on with Abattacola and Rozner today and I've heard either he or Jed on just about every show on WSCR as well as on other stations up and down the dial, except B&B

Nobody washes the collective balls of Theo, Jed, and Co. more than Dan Bernstein. I think Theo and/or Jed may have been on with B&B at some point very early on, but I can't remember a time recently when they were on with B&B. Why is that?

My guess is because Bernstein gets a lot of his stuff from Epstein.

It's pretty clear Bernstein is a Cubs mouthpiece. Now he openly talks about the people he knows with the organization and how they are reacting to the days events and columns written about them.

B&B never get any real local guests because they rip on everyone

Whether its Theo or Jed, or anyone with the Bulls or Bears, getting them on then diminishes their embellished "insider" information. So long as they don't speak with anyone they can fabricate all they want as their information is neither confirmed, denied, or clarified.

Great point. That's probably why they rarely have anyone in those positions on their show.

Whenever the midday show has someone like that on, the first thing Dan does during transition is start speculating or trying to read into something the person said.

some of the guest requests come from the beat guy walking up to a player and asking if he will be on with a show. This request usually comes from a producer. considenig nobody produces shows anymore, very few requests.

Spiegel has Jed and Theos numbers. he has met them, Spiegs does that Hot Stove and TBNL charity shows with Theo, so he gets them first.

Dan and Crane are in not in any agreement.

Does Bernstein seem like the kind of guy you would want to be friends with? Not associates, I said friends. Would just imagine the guy is not Mr. Fun.

Even in his attempt to let his kid play hockey he broke down the CTE blows to the head issue by position and OK'd goalie.....

Let me take his stats for a second and guess, while the number of blows to the head is relatively small, I would guess that the impact of the blow that do occur are pretty signficiant...got a stat for that?

There has probably been no bigger Theo homer in all of Chicago than Bernstein.

Bernstein spent hours talking about how amazing it will be that Theo is going to buy expensive computers and how much they'll have to upgrade their internet infrastructure to handle the calculations.
